I've been on the message boards for 20 years?!

LeeBoneLeeBone Posts: 4,905 ✭✭✭✭✭

Yesterday marked 20 years that I’ve been on this forum. Over that time I’ve seen a lot and learned even more. I consider myself very fortunate to have been in the company of such knowledgeable and genuine people. In that time, we have lost a few great ones unfortunately. :( I myself don’t post near as much as others as I’m mostly here to learn.

I’ve been collecting since I was a kid, but got back into it again in my late teens. I have a wide variety US coins which spans from Half Cents to Double Eagles and everything in between. I have owned at one point in time lots key dates in multiple series which included having two, three, four, or sometimes even five of said coin.

If you know me at all, you probably know my coin of choice is the Morgan Dollar. I have worked at least 35 years building and upgrading, sometimes several times on one date/mm, for my current set. My 97 coin set now consist of all PCGS w/CAC except for one last remaining, yet to be added. It will happen soon 😉

As I look back, there are some things I have sold that I wish I would’ve kept, but as everyone knows, hindsight is 2020. One of those items is this one, an uncirculated 1902-O roll of Morgan dollars in OGH, all MS63, with consecutive serial numbers. Just for the coolness factor if nothing else. B)

But, selling that item and other duplicates led me to afford the upgrades I spoke of, such as these.
Here are 10 examples that I am fortunate enough to have upgraded.

So, thank you to everyone for helping me learn and the great times over the years. I look forward to many more :)

Happy 25th anniversary in the forum, my friends! 🥳🎉

Since I’m the group's baker haha.. here is your Seated Liberty cake to celebrate a double milestone: your silver anniversary and the 250th anniversary of Independence.

Best wishes, and let's keep collecting more coins! 🎂🇺🇸🪙

Congrats on the milestone and for staying with the hobby for so long.
I joined just after you did, in November 2020. We also have a similar post count.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. :)
Here is another one that I was able to upgrade.
92-S is tougher in AU and jumps in price quickly.
I went from an XF45 to this AU50 CAC.
This date usually comes "ugly" but I was good with this one.
