Rarity Question - 1929 $20 Citizens National Bank of Houghton, MI $20

Picked this up at the shop today. Pretty low serial number and from what I gather, there weren't a lot of them printed. I don't have a banknote book. Can anyone help with the actual rarity of this note. I found a PMG 66 that sold at Heritage some time back and couple of $10 notes they also sold but other than that, virtually nothing.
Thanks in advance!

Theres a catalog thats older, national currency, an analysis with values. It shows yours as a r 5.
Its an older publication (Robert Liddell 3 and William litt are the authors.......
    Hope this helps 🙏

Nice note! It's well worn, but I see no obvious or distracting problems.

Yours is a Series 1929 Type 1 bank note. (There were no Type 2 notes issued for this bank.)

There are about 34 total examples of Series 1929 notes for this bank, and about 14 of those are $20 bills.

Interestingly, your example with s/n C000228A is not listed in the National Bank Note Census or in Track & Price, so add 1 to the numbers I just quoted. And if you're serious about collecting such notes, you might consider subscribing to to NBNC and/or T&P and submitting this one for their records.

Thank you for the info! I had found the bank was absorbed in 1932 so no type 2 were issued. I'm not a collector, per se, it just came in a collection to our shop yesterday. But would be helpful in the future to subscribe so I do have that info at my fingertips.
    Thanks both for your help!

The 2008 Kelly book has it at $200.
