Penny I found in my sparkletts bottle
I found this penny which looks pretty good. 1 small black mark on Rev. and some print mark on Rev. Could someone tell me what it might grade at and is there some value.

Worth one cent, spend it wisely.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
there are at least 3 hits on the head, 2 at 3 o'clock near the rim and one on the coat's label about 2mm from the rim. taey aren't big so it does have good eye appeal, but they are enough to leave it as a mid grade coin. it's value wouldn't be worth grading. if it weren't for two things you could have sold it on ebay for a couple of bucks: first the print and spot, and second is the ridiculous cost to mail anything now.
That is a wide AM—good find.
It's not a wide AM, just a close AM where the A and M don't quite touch.
i think it's that left leg of the M that makes it look like a wide am
but it's not a wide am.
What’s a sparkletts bottle?
My dad found a toothbrush in a bottle of coke once…
I knew that was a risky guess. The reflection down the right side of the A conceals the closeness.
I regret getting your hopes up, Carpenter.
To me there is a definite space between the A and M compaired to other 2000's I've seen.
Research the 2000 wide AM cent variety and then report back to us with your findings, explaining in detail why your coin is not a wide AM.
When you've answered correctly, you may then begin to search your change for wide AM cents.
I am not an expert on these but as I understand it the FG initials are a better indicator.
As the dies are polished the space between the letters widens (the base of the letters is wider than the top/face).
To me also. Unfortunately, "a definite space" does not mean that you have the 2000 wide AM variety unless the rest of the features also match.
