HK$10 1995 (pre handover) received in change in Hong Kong this past July.
Here are some 1 yuan coins I received in change in Shenzhen during my July trip. I used cash the whole time because I didn’t want to mess with their payment apps. The 1998 was the only one I got with the old design. All the other yuan and jiao coins were of the new design with the flower. Apparently there was a size reduction in 2019, with both sizes still circulating together.
