We know that every July 4th Semiquincentennial Trump dollar was minted the same day, July 4, 2026, no matter when it gets sent in for grading. Not sure why any collector would demand a First Strike label on that one. I did NOT pay the extra fee for First Strike on my submission.
I just opened my second 8/24 dated box. My first bag I previously reported finding zero privies. In the second bag I just searched... six privies. I met my three per hundred average. I was sweating it for a while.
Two 9/3 dated bags left to search when I have some time.
I asked if the lucky privy buyers roll & bag $ totals were included in 20,500,000 total as I would have guessed No, not included in circulation totals link
If I am right then thats another 8,750,000 dollar coins thus a total of 29,250,000 dollar coins struck so far of which 250,000 are July 4th privy.

ROLL dated 9/22/26 contained one privvy-marked coin.
I just looked through my two bags dated 9/3. First bag, zero privies. Second bag, two privies... the two worst condition privies I have found so far.
Out of four bags searched, I had two bags of zero, one bag of two and one bag of six. A total of 8 privies or 2% overall. So my results were below average.

My results were not near as bad as your results and some others that have reported. For that I consider myself fortunate. I was hoping to score a roll, but then reality came knocking.

I saw in another thread that there's a graded Error that says Obverse missing clad layer
An article states A normally struck Trump dollar has a weight of 8.1 grams. This Trump dollar missing clad layer has a weight of 6.1 grams since its missing the obverse clad layer.
It looks like your coin is copper colored on both sides. Can you weigh the coin to see if it weighs less than a regular gold-colored coin?

Weight is 8.0 grams. The 2 privys were 8.0 and 8.1 respectively, so seems like no real weight difference
I was looked for something special, but about the best I could locate were die chips, a die crack, and one very small strike through. I didn't spend a lot of time looking, but noticed a few things as I was looking for privies and best quality examples. Definitely nothing as neat as the missing layer finds.
My father put in an order late in the game for two rolls. He ordered in the last 30-60 minutes before they were sold out. His order is still on backorder status. Does anyone here still have rolls in backorder status?
Edit: After posting this we checked the status of his order again. It has moved to Processing status today.

I have three rolls on backorder from 9/24, yet I received two rolls ordered that same day as well as 4 bags and 2 rolls orders on 10/1. I called yesterday to see if it was held up by the traditional credit card needing to be reverified, but she told me it’s just on backorder and the order is good. I don’t buy that and fully expect them to cancel on me

At least these weren't total zeroes. But it also shows that all 8.75 million were not mixed up front, with the back orders just waiting to be bagged, rolled and boxed.

If people with backorder bags, receive any privies, it points toward a random distribution to me. No one ever said everyone would receive privies, or that everyone would get the same percentage of privies. Some early orders were skunked, some bountiful. Random is just that, random. My concern was that the backorder bags would have zero, and that is not the case.

Correct. But random isn't so random anymore when a lot of people from early orders report good results while a lot of people from later orders do not. Then you have a non-random pattern.

This proves none of that. My first day 2 bags had a total of one privy between them. They are subliminal not evenly distributed. There is no discernible pattern based on dates.
Proof? Beyond a reasonable doubt? No. But plenty of early reports showed an abundance of privies, while none of the later ones are. There is absolutely a pattern.
@illini420 didn't say just how many bags he was talking about. But, assuming several, more than half with zero and several others with one is far below what was reported from early orders. And he is not the only one reporting disappointment with later orders.
As always, you are free to point to remote possibilities. I'm going with my lyin' eyes, and credible reports from multiple people to draw my own conclusions regarding the pattern.

Plenty of early reports also showed very few privies (like me). If you look through just this thread, you'll see that. And recently, someone with an early September date on the box found multiples.
I understand. But those were with one or two bags, and balanced by other reports of dozens of privies in a single bag. Now, we are seeing reports with relatively large numbers of bags with far less than the expected number of privies, and no offsetting reports of dozens of privies.
I admit that I at first feared later bags would have no privies, and that is clearly not the case. But it is equally clear that all 8.75 million were not mixed at the same time, because the early bags were very clearly richer in privies than the later ones.
A lot of bags are going out now, and a lot of people are getting more than one or two. No one is now reporting 20 or 30 privies in a single bag like before. A lot more people are going 0 for 100 in a bag than before. To me that's a pattern. If that's nothing for you, because you struck out in an early roll, so be it. Agree to disagree.

If I do the math, and I did, my earlier group was way more July 4th privy coins than there should have been. On this last group, way less than there should have been. But overall, combining both groups and looking at everything I got, the distribution was pretty much right on the money. I got one less privy coin than I should have based on the math. Pretty darn close.
Not sure we can say earlier packages were "front loaded," many who got them early got nothing. I had 6 rolls bought on release day and got zero in all 6 rolls. We can definitely say they weren't evenly mixed though.

Okay, so things evened out for you. But you had two distinct groups of orders. With an apparently wide divergence in results between the two. Not so much between bags within the two. Rolls will always be hit or miss due to the relatively small sample within them.
It would help if you told us how many coins were in each group. If it's a tiny sample, then, yeah, we can't draw any conclusions. But if we are talking about several thousand coins, with "way more" in one group than the other, then I'll say one group was front loaded.
You can say whatever you want. But, your experience also is not unique, based on what others are reporting. That should also tell you something.
Not that every bag in the early group was rich in privies. But more that no bags in the later group are, and with many more skunks being reported in the later group.
By you, in addition to others. Are you arguing with me just to argue, after reporting your own results and noting the divergence from your earlier results? If it means nothing, why report it? I took you at your word, and drew a conclusion from it. Am I stupid for doing so, because your report was nothing more than meaningless noise?
Wasn't a tiny sample to me, but based on the 50,000 bags out there, it wasn't much. and there was great variation within each group. If the exact numbers help anyone:
Group 1 (had them within a week of them going on sale), 26 bags and 8 rolls (2800 coins) - 122 July 4th privy total, way better than the 80 or so I should have gotten based on the 1/35 odds. 6 rolls had nothing, one roll with one, one roll with two. Several of the bags had zero, several had 1 or 2, a few were really good with 10, 13, 15 each. Nearly all of these were opened live on YouTube.
Group 2 (ordered 10/1 and got them 10/7), 40 bags (4000 coins) - 53 July 4th privy total, about half of the 114 I was hoping for based on the 1/35 odds. Several bags had zero, several had 1, a few were better with 7 or 8 each.
Thought I was closer to even, but I guess my total of 175 is a bit below the 194 if it was an exact 1/35 even distribution.

In the FWIW department, from the PCGS Website...................
The First Strike thing is such a money grab for PCGS. They basically do nothing different from normal grading/slabbing and gram an extra $18 per coin.
That said, I just sent four coins in and paid the addition $72. Not sure why, but I did.

That's why I like CACG's "First Delivery" designation better. It is a more accurate term.
Superb collections are built more by omission than by addition.
PCGS missed marketing strategy, 'JULY 4th Last Strike'.

Another 4.1 million Trump Bucks added bring total to 20.5 million stamped out so far.
As these are circulation strikes do the lucky privy Rolls & Bags get added in or are they in addition to 20,500,000 ?
They are already added into that number, to the best of our knowledge.
This morning the bags and rolls were both available for about 20 seconds. Long enough to get in your cart and not be able to check out.
Why would you guess no? That is a production blog, and the 8.75 million were produced.
ROLL dated 9/22/26 contained one privvy-marked coin.
I guess I won't know for sure till next year, its millions or more millions and 11 weeks of production left.
So, the circulation mintages include 300k Mint Sets too ? I guess yes then using everyone's logic yet. I still think No.
Exception for the 300,000 Philly & Denver Cents as they were not made for circulation ?
Maybe I need another coffeee

My two backordered bags arrived yesterday. Boxes dated 8/27, a few minutes before 9AM.
No privies, but the coins were in nice shape, with occasional bag marks but none of the general scruffiness of others I've seen.
I'm still slightly above the 3% privy mix based on all of my rolls and bags.
Sooooo, with a total of 20.5 million coins, the 250,000 privies now represent just 1.22%. They be gettin' scarcer.
Why bang-out 20 million dollars that don't circulate, unless they be heading down south to Ecuador?
