I built my company gradually, and I didn't "finance" any of it.
"Finance" is just a way for older generations to live off the efforts of younger generations.
The debt-based monetary/financial system we have works well when the population levels are growing and there are new people to come into the system to service new debt to support the existing debt structures.
But population levels can not grow indefinitely. Eventually, they must level off or decline due do scarcity of resources, pandemics, war, etc. And now that population growth is stagnating, the towering debt is unstable.
I file and pay income taxes for my company. So, yes, it is real.
In fact, not once since founding the company in 2005 have I had a net loss for the year.
So 22 straight years of net income.
"Fantastic" not "Fantasy".
I gather from previous posts that you are some sort of service technician (not a real engineer).
Do you own your own company ?
On the intended subject, are there other bank failures out there waiting to happen ?
With interest rates going up so fast, there has to be some significant stresses behind the scenes.
I expect the Federal Reserve will continue to hold relatively high interest rates,
but they will be ready to step in and rescue banks with some sort of back-door TARP (or similar) program.
No bailouts for the general public, as usual.

Retired at 55 thanks. What type of "engineer" does it take to deface and turn classic American coins into fantasy tokens? Nothing fantastic about that. Just another of the many disgraces to this once great nation. Keep filing them taxes there skippy. The billionaires love you. lol SMPR!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Wooooha! Did someone just say it's officially "TACO™" Tuesday????
Retiring at 55, what day is today?

So you never owned your own business or started your own company.
So who is the one with the "fantasy company" again ?

It is also a way to acquire the capital needed to follow a plan/dream and create a company, unless of course one is from "old" money. And this is why I argue that those who got wealthy doing so should not be penalized with higher personal taxes. They took the risk, profit is their reward, unless of course the socialists come to power.
FWIW anyone successfully running an ebay or on-line store is an entrepreneur. They require all the elements and support skills of a successful business.
Governments can print currency. Only the people can print faith in it — and they’re running low on ink.

I wonder if the OG poster 10 years ago, ever considered the likely hood of such spirited debate today
