It's the lowest number I have seen, but it isn't the earliest slab.

Here is a lower number.
Donato
Donato's Complete US Type Set ---- Donato's Dansco 7070 Modified Type Set ---- Donato's Basic U.S. Coin Design Set
Successful transactions: Shrub68 (Jim), MWallace (Mike)
It does not directly answer your question but NGC now shows the grade date when you look up a cert. The lower number doesn't appear to mean it was graded earlier if these newly shown dates are accurate.
That's so cool!

i think it should be "date holdered"

Retiring at 55, what day is today?

These two dates are perplexing to me... I thought the green labels were used before the brown?
Who has the earliest complete huge dealer looseleaf submission binder kit including unused submission forms?
Green was never used despite what some folks have written previously. I have spoken to JA directly and he has told me that green seen on these is dye degradation likely from UV light and JA also publicly stated on a recent YT interview that green was never used during those years and that it is from degradation.

It's weird the UPC coded labels have lower cert. numbers than the Fattys.
Hmmm........never really noticed before.

There were no green bordered labels. Green bordered labels are only brown bordered labels that have faded to green.
