A few years ago I bought a 1936 proof Buff that was allegedly in the original mint cellophane. I posted about it at the time, here are pics of that original pouch.
I still have the cellophane pouch somewhere in a labeled baggy.
@Darth5oh Any chance there are PCGS tru-views of the submissions? I'd love to see the surfaces and how some of them graded. I wish my grandparents had been coin collectors.

It nice to see these old coins after being saved by an individual for so long and then passed to heirs. With what’s shown it’s still hard to assign this as OGP. Too bad for the loss of any boxes/documentation, especially the mailing envelope. That sort of stuff would be cool to see.
Hi Maywood: For me... I'm 99% confident those are OGP. Everyone of the sets were perfectly stapled together as shown in my Sept 29 post. The staples (rusty/old looking) were driven all the way through the cellophane baggies protruding out the backside. (I had to really be careful with a pick and screwdriver to free them.) Also the witness marks left by the coins in the cello, and I can see no reason my grandfather would have "re-bagged" them?? But yeah - I can't be 100%
@Meltdown If you go back and look at my Jan 2025 update thread - I think I posted all the Tru-views I got along with the grades... "Recently Acquired Coin Collection - The Update"...

Collector, occasional seller
I personally have never seen a 1936 proof set ....... I have only seen some from the 1940's. Super cool 😎👍
