First set of pics made it look gem. New images show chatter. I’ll revise my grade down to 63 shot 64.

My only concern is the luster. 23 phillies usually come very lustrous and the photos make it look slightly muted.

I’m using fluorescent instead of incandescent to help hide the one distracting hit at 8:30. It also brings out the color at the cost of muting the luster.

A very bad choice when assessing coins to be submitted.

Again this time with incandescent (only have one though).

I need to work on my set up and lighting it is all out of whack. I’ll work on it this weekend. Hopefully come back with some images that look more representative.
But I get the feeling I won’t need to y’all guys are pretty good at grading the coin but no one yet has been able to discern the grade of the holder.

I'm going to say either AU58 or MS64. My guess was 64 until you said that nobody had guessed right, maybe I'm not seeing the rub (my eyes may be lying, but maybe some on the obverse in the area between the L and B on the rim and crown).

I don't like the big spots/stains/marks on both sides of the coin and the various small slide marks should put a cap on the grade IMO.

My guess is 64 in its current holder but I grade it 63.

The general consensus is 65 which if cracked today is prolly what it would receive but this one was not graded today...

I went to Wally World today and fixed my lighting problem.

And these pics represent it well. @ShaunBC5 was the closest with 66*.
Not sure which is better + or * but I like it.
Thanks for playing and my apologies for the crumby images.

It’s a great looking coin… Maybe see if you can get it beaned.

Peace dollars are my fave and I still grade them incorrectly more often than not. LOL

Does it increase the value enough to warrant?

I think the lowest tear bean is around $25. And CAC only uses the number grade as a determining factor - not the * or ★ designation. So will it increase the value of your coin more than $25?

Yes, here’s current CPG… Expect less of a bump in an NGC holder, but yes.
