I lucked out on purchasing the 1887 proof $20 Liberty double eagle in PR50 just a few months ago with a gold CAC sticker at Great Collections for less than it was sold for a few years earlier.

Getting a $20 DE -- probably a Saint -- with a Gold CAC (I have none) is now one of my goals for 2026-27. Just passed on one in an affordable MS grade, sure hope I don't go along time without seeing another one.
Better strategy would have been to buy it a few years ago when gold was alot lower.

Unrelated- but Ian Russell is looking a lot like Max Schreck from Batman Returns...
The build out of GC out from nothing to where it is today has been amazing to behold. Ian was hustling everywhere for inventory in the beginning……LOTS of modern bullion.
Treat customers right, hiring great people, and working your a$$ off is an age old formula.
