Memorial Pennies

I've been looking at pennies lately and would greatly appreciate help with identifying what's going on with many pennies that I've found things on. Coin dealers have many opinions and I'm not sure what to believe. Take a look at this one.

Exactly what us your question? Why make us guess?

It has obvious split plating (not an error) but maybe that's not what you were wondering about.

Ty for responding. I appreciate your knowledge. My question is. Is this a error or machine error. If the planchets are only struck once. How does this happen?

It's one of the common problems with the copper coated zinc cents. The thin copper plating sometimes splits during striking along the edge of the lettering and devices exposing the zinc core.

Split Plating is fairly common on zincoins.
It is not considered an error but part of the minting process.
