Let's talk about our "Jimmy the Greek specials"

Previously mentioned the MLB profit boosts the dam book kept sending me. Well I couldn't resist, especially since the odds with the boosts were in my favor. So last night, played the ML on three MLB games. Well amazingly hit all three, and all of them were dogs.

Excellent night, and thankfully the bankroll since last Saturday, is moving again in a positive direction. 😊

Penix 200+ passing yards with a 50% boost

I realize he's coming back from an injury. But the book offers bet protection. Not exactly sure what it even covers as far as the time frame, etc, I'll worry about it if he gets hurt.

Kind of but it's times like that that I prove to myself that I do have control so it was a win in my book

So I'm watching the game digitally on ESPN. Early in the 4th quarter, the Falcons had the game in hand. But Penix only had 132 yards passing. I needed 200, and that bet for me was over. No complaints, I'm having an excellent week, and had already hit the Falcons ML in the first half with that early win thing.

The Falcons QB is coming off an ACL injury, and I'm just waiting for the bad news of the coach taking him out of the game. Or the QB just handing off the ball to kill the clock. Even the hope of a short pass, break away for long yardage isn't logical. I mean the key in that spot if there was a short pass completion, if the receiver is even touched lightly, just go down, don't fumble the football. So I'm watching the passing yards on the screen, knowing it's hopeless, but then in a flash it goes from 132 yards to 200 even, which is exactly the number I needed. I thought I was on drugs or something, and I don't do drugs. Maybe the salmon I had for dinner was tainted and giving me hallucinations? Well the coach leaves him in the game and he winds up with 256 yards passing.

When you're hot, you're hot, and I can't recall for a week, ever being this hot before in sports betting. Everything coming up roses. Bankroll at an all time high. The book sending me profit boosts galore. All that being said, I fully expect to get crushed this weekend. As we know, good luck can suddenly turn on a dime in sports betting. LOL

Frankly, when i first tuned into it, maybe around 8:30, and saw Green Bay had a 7-0 lead, and Penix I think was 2 for 7 with 22 yards passing, I thought both bets were over for me. I got hissed off getting myself sucked in on that early win offer, and tried to cash-out on both bets at that time. For some reason, I guess it was because of the early win thing, it never offered a cash-out the entire game on the Falcons ML bet. The Penix prop cash-out at that time, was only 60% equity which I thought was way too low, so I just let that bet ride.

I didn't even like the game. I only played it as mentioned earlier in the thread, because of the early win thing by 7 points, and in my view, the value is best to play the dog when that is offered.

Yea, just pure "genius" on my part winning those bets. 😆

Bankroll at an all time high. Was at the low $300's not too long ago, but came storming back this past week.

Would be nice if one day in the future, I have enough in there to bet like you whales on here do. Those who drive the fancy cars and get the pretty girls, etc.

Will definitely be looking at that game, but haven't yet. My key games are Texas/Tennessee and also LSU/Texas A&M - have a 50% profit boost on both those games, so they are definitive plays. When the odds are in my favor with the profit boosts, i salivate like a Pavlov dog - LOL

I recall reading this before the advent of home computers. That historically for the NFL when betting against the spread, favorites win around 49.9% of the time, and dogs around 50.1%. Even today, sometimes I'll see a pundit mention on a game, that he's undecided, and going with the dog only because the odds are a little better on that.

So the bookies have been pretty good at this for a very long time, and of course now they've got computers.

Texas looks like a steal here at -5.5 which is what worries me. Why only -5.5? To be safe, I'm gonna play the ML. Problem is they are at -210 right now, and I can't get the boost in at those odds.

So I'll either hope the line moves a little bit pre-game, or live, to get it to -200 or less. And if it doesn't, then it doesn't, and then it's no bet. I don't like the game all that much to play it without the offered 50% profit boost.

Late money coming in on Tennessee. Texas now at -4.5 but the ML is only at -205, I still can't play the dam thing.

Finally got it in with the boost. Well shall see if my patience paid off, or if it cost me money. LOL

More competition is always good for the consumer.

Was thinking about that early 7 thing they offered on the Thursday night game. As previously mentioned, because of that, both teams won the ML wagering for the players. The book had to take a bath on that game. I'd have to think somebody high-up in that company can't be too happy about this. But maybe they figure in the overall scheme of things, they come out ahead?

Now with this Circa in the mix, perhaps they'll start offering even more?

Figured I'd try one of Galaxy's famous teasers. If it loses, I'll blame him. If it wins, I'll take all the credit.

All kidding aside, I do like the odds on the dam thing.
