Is there a way to opt out of the new website format?

The new look of these forums makes posts very hard to read due to the following:
-thin gray line separating posts, threads, and sig lines
-new comments button, and Agree, Like, and LOL buttons seem small when compared to the text.
-all white background

Looking forward to (or backward to) the old look of these forums.

agreed. i would love the option to switch back.

The thing I like the least is the signature section takes up more real estate than the actual post. If we can't go back to the old format, I would love to see the signature section be reduced in size.

There's way - way - way too much white on the forum now.

It's hard on the eyes - even as I type this.

It will cause me to come here less.

Need to blend the contrast better. This is terrible. It's too clean and sterile, causing eye strain.

The edit button isn't working right now - I've sent that in.

Years ago we had an alpha list of members with just the PMs of that person - made it much easier to communicate for me. So e.g. - go to "S" - look up stone193 and see only the PMs you had with me.

I find it too white right now - not sure who's in charge of this - but they can try different color combinations - that's probably a "toolbox" issue?

Had to take a new post since I can't edit.

I went to HELP and got this: There are no knowledge bases

Also on my laptop - I would like the font to be a little larger but if I up it, I can't see the info that's to the right of the main part.

Was this even tested? If there’s 1 new post in a thread, it says “1 new”; more than one and it says (for example, if there’s are 3 new posts) “3 new plural”??? Bizarre.

I agree with the masses - too white, no difference between the post and the sig line, harder to switch between forums now. Not great.

TBH I don't see an easy way to get back to the homepage from here. A perfect example of "if it aint broke, break it".

It's literally a Theme that is likely chosen from a drop down menu. If this is the best option, I can only imagine how bad the other options are.

I don't even see that. Try any of the choices on top and see where it leads to. All go to the message boards for me.

Sorry..... a theme is a back-end choice that the moderator/webmaster can pick. Not something users can choose.

When we got the last format, I was one of the people that beta tested it and found all kinds of problems; the one I couldn't get them to fix - for those who remember the one before that from the early 2000s - our PMs were keep separate for each member and we could alpha search them - would really like that.

You can hide all signature lines in account settings, it makes viewing 90% better. My headache even went away after making this change

When we changed it last time, I liked the old format better and asked Jackie why we couldn't leave well enough alone?

She told me the company could "No Longer" support that format and had to make the change.

Not sure whether that's IT BS or what? Me? Computers have two speeds: On & Off.

To those using Firefox or Chrome I wrote a quick CSS for use with Stylus extension. My custom gray scheme is not perfect but IMHO a whole lot easier on the eyes than this mess of a default forum scheme.
