Is there still a one-line limit?

Guessing 99% of forum members have it turned off
I have it turned off thanks to the new look. But the previous display didn't seem to enforce a one-line limit at all.
The Settings page says "Use up to 3 images. Signatures can be up to 1000 characters long."
There's never been a "one line limit" here that I can recall. Mine's been four lines since at least 2008.

Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice.
It’s rule #5 in the pinned forum guidelines post.
”Your signature may contain multiple small images and/or links but must be limited to a single line. If you would like additional advertising space on this site please contact our Advertising Department.”
That's merely a "guideline".
I had 2 lines and was told that if I did not change it I would be banned!
That is a fact! Someone must have complained!
I'd like to suggest an edit to rule #5
