AI Buildings Will use over a 100,000,000 ounces of silver Just for one facility

Options

Millions and Millions of ounces of silver will be required to feed the new technology in AI facilities. Some as per what I read could use over 800 million ounces per building unit... True or BS ?

    Have you tried asking AI?

That number seems a bit high but not at all impossible depending on the size and capacity of the center as the servers will require about 10 oz or so each and they typically require numerous servers. Also, if the center is using solar power cells and depending on the size of the array you could be looking at silver usage in the metric tons from what I read on the subject. I assume that they will rely on some form of renewable energy with all the flak data centers are receiving regarding power and water consumption and solar may be the most economical as it seems to be the one most talked about in regards to data centers. I haven't done the homework yet but I would be interested in seeing how this plays out in the silver markets and how the usage would be priced in and whether it would increase or suppress prices overall. I personally don't have much faith in the AI build out models tho as regions are pushing back hard against these centers and they are coming under heavy scrutiny in all aspects and a lot of these projects have been considerably scaled down or cancelled altogether. Interesting topic and I guess time will tell. 😎

I read it on the internet so it must be true. It's beyond comprehensible what people will believe today. Ai facilities will be relics soon enough. Some youtube dealer just bragged about a $1M Au transaction to bring up his view count. "Breaking news" I just saw it on youtubes, News flash, it happens about 8,000 times per day in reality. Vermillion is a well-known dealer with a good reputation and significant market presence.

    You are unknown and small-time.
Where are your buy and sell prices posted ?
Oh, that's right, you don't have any.
All you have is unsubstantiated claims of low-ball local shops.

    You see how this goes?

We've all been low-balled at one time or another, Yes, ALL of us. That time period in late Jan, early Feb was extremely volatile and many LCS made what may appeared at the time to have been extremely low-ball. (BTW--this response to a dramatic price increase was predicted and folk cautioned about being able to find a "counter-party". Remember debating that "risk"). I think whats more astounding is that folk believe Blitz could not have been low-balled.

I do not walk into coin shops to sell. But I have cited actual eBay sales MANY times.
You don't "recall" any of my observations ? I have "observed" Vermillion, for example, and posted about that several times. I Just posted about that, in fact. You don't recall ? Do you even read what you quote ?

There is always a buyer for gold and silver at the right price. $120 for silver was a false price at the time, no more valid than negative -$40 oil.

The real market price for precious metals is determined by cash-price negotiations between buyers and sellers, neither of which are under contractual obligations. As such, there is no "counter-party" that can default like there is with most financial instruments.

Blitzed Dude reports nothing but low-ball offers. Maybe shop owners don't like his his attitude (if the posts on this forum are any indication).

Regardless, unsubstantiated buy/sell offers should not carry much weight.

The "spot" price does not entirely apply to non-pure (90%) silver. That has its own market that is not absolutely tied to the "spot" price. But they probably wouldn't want to deal with you, buying or selling.

I can just image you walking into a shop and saying "hey youtube wonderboy, what do you pay for this here gutter metal. And, by the way, anyone who buys this stuff is stupid."

That is how you present yourself on this forum. Is that how you act and talk in the real world in person ?

The amount of silver used in new AI (artificial intelligence) data centers varies depending on the scale of the facility, though major hyperscale AI data centers are estimated to require between 300,000 and 600,000 ounces of silver per facility. On a broader infrastructural scale, the United States and China alone consumed an estimated 350 million ounces of silver in 2025 solely for data center hardware.📊 Silver Allocation in AI Centers Silver's unmatched electrical and thermal conductivity makes it irreplaceable in AI hardware. The volume needed scales sharply based on the components: Per AI Training Server: A modern AI training server utilizes roughly 180 to 210 grams of silver—about three times the amount found in a standard enterprise server. Per Facility Base Load: A typical large-scale facility requires between 1 to 25 metric tons (approx. 32,000 to 800,000 ounces) of physical silver. Key Components: The silver is predominantly concentrated in high-performance electrical contacts, busbars, switchgear, soldering materials, and advanced semiconductor packaging designed to handle massive power loads and heat dissipation .If you are researching this for commodity forecasting, would you like to see how this data center demand impacts global silver supply deficits, or should we look into how silver prices are tracking against these hardware buildouts?AI responses may include mistakes. That statement does not dissuade me from making a reply to your off-topic comments.

Your conclusion is faulty. I go into coin shops all the time. I just don't expect them to offer the same prices that I can sell for at a coin show or on-line. So I don't try to sell to shops because I don't have to. But I do buy from coin shops occasionally. I also have a table at 8 or 9 coin shows a year and sometimes more than that. I just had a table at a coin show this weekend. I sold a modest amount (all that I had available) of 90% "junk" silver at the show.

. I just had a table at a coin show this weekend. I sold a modest amount (all that I had available) of 90% "junk" silver at the show.

    .

How much did you sell and at what price?

If someone offered you 90%, what would have been your buy price?

    .

Sold at 42.5x (about the same as I could ship it for).
These were slightly better-date coins, but very worn.

If a batch has any coins in it that I like, I might pay close to (or even the same) 42x.
I don't routinely buy and sell 90% "junk" silver coin. But sometimes I buy a small batch, pick out a few better coins to put in tubes, and then sell off the remainder for what I paid. I do that where it is easy, at coin shows or coin club meetings where there is no selling fees and no shipping involved.

The prices would be a little lower now (today).

This further illustrates my point that anything you recommend doing is ill-advised.

You frequently boast about how well you do, but seem to hate it when anyone else does better.
    Jealousy is an ugly thing.
