Haven't sold a coin on E-Bay in 2026 so I am wondering how the authenticity guaranteed works?
We've been out of the coin market in 2026 for a variety of reasons. recently I noticed
E-Bay's Authenticity Guarantee. As an example, I sell a $6,000 slabbed coin, I am notified which location to ship the coin to? I insure the coin to the address E-Bay provides? I send the coin registered mail? Coin takes 5-7 days to arrive. It's checked over (2-3 days) and then is forwarded to the buyer? The process from the beginning, might take 2-3 weeks before the buyer receives his/her coin? Will I be i receiving angry PM's or does everyone understand the delays?
Feel free to correct any bad assumptions I might have made.
Trying to understand the new process?
Has anyone shipped coins in the 5-10K price range under the new system?

Have you tried doing an internet search for eBay's Authenticity Guarantee? They have a page on their website that describes how it works.
Nowhere near those numbers or values. Have a few out….. waiting and hoping it goes well. They’re awfully slow at paying out though…. From

My experience over the past quarter century.
Practice makes perfect & nobody is perfect. So, practice being nobody and be perfect !
You can change your payout schedule to daily. That way eBay isn’t holding your money for two weeks!
Oh I see. Yes, that makes sense.
I have sold through the Authenticity Guarantee program and funds were paid out within 2 business days. I did not realize that they were holding funds for some sellers (or some items) until authentication.

I was mainly trying to estimate how much time it would take for the buyer to receive the coin if I shipped Registered to the Authenticator?
Does anyone else ship registered?
On E-Bay I sold mostly slabbed DE's.
Last 4 sales on E-Bay were
!861-S $20 au58 CAC
1862-S $20 au58
1863-S $20 AU58
1862-S $20 S.S. Republic AU58 CAC
Not bullion but not $50,000 coins either.
the price fell in the $6,000-10,000 range.
