bulk buyers start ordering tomorrow. I think these will sell a little better than BM4 but we'll see. ATS 3,750

    I'm seeing ATS 13800 for BM5, down from 15000.

Since that 1200 is clearly not ABPP, it's likely GACC and Mint stores. Either way, who cares? BOM4 did not sell out, despite many fears that it would provoke a bot attack. Why does anyone think this will be any different?

I guess. As with the others, especially BOM4, ABPP uptake should be a reliable barometer of how "hot," and, consequently, difficult to get, these will be.

At the end of the day, for those who are interested, that's all that really matters.

I care, because this tells me that ABPP took their full allocation, while they did not for the others. Could foreshadow an early sell out.

And, as we all know, people who wouldn't otherwise be interested will suddenly become interested if there is a buzz that these will be "hot." Which will cause interest to feed on itself, and possibly make these difficult to get at issue price.

Kind of surprising that these are garnering more interest than the 1804s, but they apparently are.

The ABPP still have an ATS of 2443 left and have just 22 hours left on the clock. These are moving (with them) in a similar fashion as the BOM4 did. They will not take their full allotment.

Woah! So how did general ATS go from 13,800 to 10,050, if it does not reflect ABPP taking its 3750? What else there?

Are you saying this reflects them backing out the 3750, even though most of them have not yet sold through?

15,000 mintage - 1,200 GACC and mint stores 13,800 - 3,750 ABPP = 10,050. An undetermined number of the 3,750 will be added back to the 10,050 general ATS based on what does not sell to ABPP by the cut off time tomorrow. Correct?

Seems to be the case. The BOM4 followed a very similar pattern to this one as far as ATS numbers. I think @Survivor50 ’s post above this is probably on the money.
When the deadline for ABPP passed on BOM4, the unsold inventory didn’t get added back in until a few days prior to drop date.

With a little over an hour left to go for the ABPP, it's playing out very similar to BOM4.
There were 3750 available to them of each...BOM 4 was $5764.50 and they took 1781, leaving 1969 to fall back into inventory.
So far they've claimed 1748 of BOM5 at $5869.50, leaving ATS for them at 2002 with 75 minutes to cutoff.

I believe BOM4 will be it for me, so much beauty in a small package.
I like the Mint presentation and may also find a slabbed version of the Gold in the future.

Was just coming here to say that after checking. They left 1969 again. Should be no problem obtaining this one next week. This was a surprising series. When it was announced I thought we would all fight to the death to get them, but it's been anything but that. One of the easiest sets to put together (if that's what you hoped for)

Good. It means the Mint got it exactly right. Both pricing and mintage. Other than BOM3, which is why BOMs 4&5 took a mintage haircut.

Collectors collect, and flippers go back to their day jobs.

I'll be happy to finish this set up without having to peruse the secondary to fill in any gaps.

Those are the prices ABPP has to pay for advance release. BOM5 will price for the rest of us next Wednesday

If gold weren't so high this may well have been the case.

I'm sure there are a lot more people that want these, but just could not fork out the immense amount required with gold prices where they are.

Looking at all of the 250 offerings, Its an insanely expensive year to collect.

That’s true. I’m sure I bought more Mint gold this year than any other. Next year will be a wholly different story.

True. Not just the high price of gold, but also the insanely high premium that they refuse to reduce as the secondary market demands as intrinsic value rises, e.g., Gem BU generic classic gold.

Isn't that a higher number than we thought just adding in the leftover ABPP? Must be some of the 1200 that was thought to be GACC and mint stores cut.

I intend to have the whole BOM series put into CACG slabs. However, CACG is increasing its Modern Express pricing by $20/coin starting for all submissions received October 1st or later. I have 20 total coins to sub.

It's going to be a tight turnaround ordering BOM5 9/24, next day shipping to me probably received 9/28 and then overnight to CACG hopefully received 9/29 or 9/30 for a $400 delta :#

Also, the 2009 was higher relief and thicker vs the SemiQ issue being slightly less high relief but also broader (27mm vs 30.6mm diameters).

I'm not a fan of the privy mark on this years, though I understand the concept. The edge lettering was different on the 2009, a * between each letter, I liked the thicker higher relief of the 2009, though it looked a bit small, I think the larger diameter of the 2026 will show off the design well. The 2009, in my opinion, had a glassy, proof like finish, not sure how this year's will look, though I haven't noticed that on the other BOM coins.

The 2009 has a much smaller diameter, but the new one still is not as wide as the original Gaudens double eagle, from what I understand.
