Received my 2 rolls yesterday and just unrolled the first roll.
5 out of 25 are privies!
Not sure how I managed to get a box dated 7/31/26 when I didn't order untill around 1:30pm EST.
Will open second roll this afternoon.....if I can wait that long! 😉
I sent the two privies I found in my rolls to CACG for grading. The grades and photos just posted and both graded MS65. Very pleased with the grades as I was expecting 63-64. Only ~19% of the privy coins have been graded gems by CACG.
I opted for the First Delivery designation and the American Flag label.
We know the calculated percentage of privies is not being found by many people, but if people did encounter the calculated nearly 3% privy rate then that would result in a profit for them even if the price dropped to $100 or lower.

I ended up with 5 july 4th privy in 3 rolls. I'm leaving the 4th roll and adding to my 2026 roll collection. These were all from 8/13/26 boxes.

Whatever you do, don’t just leave them sitting in the bags to literally rot… I just opened a bag of 2005 Kansas quarters that I’ve forgotten about for 21 yrs, and they have this icky white film stuff all over them from canvas gases. Others just have disgusting toning I’m glad I opened them to remind me to take these dollars out and put them into tubes. Some are good but it’s a big mess. Same with my ‘05 bison nickles. I thought they might tone some, but I had no idea that they were gonna turn to icky crud. My bad. 😥
I think the only guaranteed money maker is #1 the mint and #2 to grading services still... it's entertainment for sure (and you can do worse with the predominance of gambling sites in 2026)
it's like a 2-phase gacha/blind bag/loot box!
of, for you boomers from the 1950s, what's the analog: cereal box toys?
that being said, only way I'll get one of these is in change. or if the mint forces it into the annual uncirc set

I had two backordered bags ship already - one on 9/11 and one on 9/14.
The October date was an estimate. Many backordered items are shipping much sooner.

Opened two coin rolls from their boxes and ONLY found two Privy's (so far!!!)
I had two rolls & two bags and only had 2 privy coins.....
I still have two bags coming to my house (and more bags to other houses)...hopefully I don't even out at two.
But for now, I'll enjoy the one Privy and one Ender...

No way to distinguish "actual day 1 backorder bags" from other back orders. Either they processed and shipped in the first week or so, or they didn't.
Back order is back order, whether it was when you ordered, or when they went to process and realized that they had nothing to send you, so they put you on back order along with all the other back orders. No matter how you slice it, a box dated 9/2/26 is a back order, since you know that was not in the fulfillment center, ready to be shipped, on 9/2/26.

I ordered the bags on day one at 12:27 and they have been on backorder ever since. I have not received my bags. Why are they shipping day two backorders before day one? Or are they… Is that what it seems like?

They should have put the Always Remember halfs randomly in the Never Forget bags and rolls like everyone wanted. Instead few will have any chance of getting any, it is like finding a needle in a haystack.

TBD. My point was that @steve123 showed us coins dated 9/2. He already received them, and they were clearly packaged well after the coins that were ready to go on 9/2 were. More than a month after the earliest dates.
That's good enough for me to determine that they were in a later batch, and they have privies. Based on that, it's safe to assume that privies were mixed into everything, and that back orders at this point are back orders. Because there is no rhyme or reason, or order, regarding which back orders are processed first.
You'll see an October shipping date until they go into processing. But, if they are processing any back orders now, it is likely they will process them all before October. Because they clearly have coins ready to go now that were not ready to go two weeks ago. Good enough for me.

I sold all 249 non-privies that I got on eBay for an average net of about $1.70 each.

Nice! My point not a huge return based on your time, effort, motivation, fees, logistics, etc vs the mints cost basis on what, under .20 per dollar produced and the machines are running anyway....
I get that its a labor of love and you enjoy the chase, numismatists come in all shapes.

What a difference a day makes.
229 privies graded by PCGS, up 219 from 10 yesterday.
58 privies are graded the highest at MS66.
Nothing graded 63 or below, or 67 and above.
I would think there are some 62's or less on the horizon.
edited to add: Probably won't see any First Strike privies for a week or two.

No. The Mint just did the right thing, and didn't disadvantage one group of customers to benefit another.
This is exactly what should happen. If it happened all the time, there would never be a "conspiracy theory" in the first place.
