The Glendale Coin Club has again commissioned Daniel Carr of the Moonlight Mint to strike our 2026 Glendale Coin Club Medals. Daniel did an excellent job with our club's 2014-2019 medals which are all quite popular in the secondary market.
2026 Glendale Coin Club Medals will be struck in copper, silver and gold. These are available by pre-order only. Final orders and payment will be due by August 15 with minting and delivery to follow later this year.
The obverse will be the same as our previous medals, featuring the reverse design of the 1925 California Diamond Jubilee Half Dollar surrounded by our club name in incused lettering. The reverse design will be based on 1826 U.S. Semicentennial Medal (HK-2) which was has been updated for this year's 2026 Semiquincentennial. A draft rendering of the design is attached. As you may know, Daniel has been quite busy this year so a final rendering of the design is not yet available; but he has confirmed that the final design will be substantially similar to the attached image.
Medals are available from the club as follows:
39mm Copper Medal = $25 each
39mm Silver .999 One Ounce Medal ("ONE TROY OZ. 999 SILVER" marked on edge) = $110 each
39mm Gold .999 50 Gram Medal ("50 GRAMS 999+ GOLD" marked on edge) approx. 1.6 troy oz. gold = $8000 each (price includes ANACS certification)
16.5mm Gold .999 1/10 Ounce Medal = $540 each (price includes ANACS certification)
16.5mm Platinum .9995 5 Gram Medal = $400 each (price includes ANACS certification)
USPS shipping is included.
