I saw that earlier as well and didn't find anything more. Who knows these days
There are a couple die diagnostics for genuine coins. I've seen 2 dies used for the privy side.
I don't know how the fakes were made or what they look like, but it's possible the fakes are missing the diagnostics.
For one of the dies, the diagnostics can often be seen from the photos (this may not help if the scammer is using genuine coin photos but shipping fake coins, of course).
I wouldn't think this would be an issue for the halves, easily available at a reasonable price, no real upside to counterfeit.
