When will 87 topps baseball wax boxes go over $100 per box?

The only caveat is that I would stay away from loose Pro Set or Hoops boxes because from what I remember those packs were easy to search and the sequence was known. I think this was an especially huge issue with 1989 Hoops, either cases or FASC to get the best chance to pull a Jordan or Robinson.

More than that; there are 14, presently. Some caveats for that number though:

*Some of the players on this list of HHOF 1990 UD RC's have plenty of earlier RC's issued either in foreign and/or oddball/team-issue sets, even though these cards are _also_ considered RC's.

*There is one more guaranteed to be on the list soon enough, so that is 15 for sure: Jagr. There are also some more who might potentially make it into the HHOF one day, though that is arguable. List includes Cujo and Brind'Amour for example.

*There are some other HHOF RC's from 1990 that just don't have a card issued by UD even though they have other ones. 1990 Score Brodeur for example.

*There are a lot of other good RC's of players that will fall short of being in the HHOF but are still fun RC's nonetheless. For example, Richter, Nolan, Primeau, etc.

Otherwise, the HHOF RC list from 1990 UD available in the high series packs, in order of induction:

$100 today was $50 20 years ago. They basically have moved with inflation

87 Topps as a hedge against inflation.

This is crazy to me. Especially when you can get a vending box for like $15. 15x36=540 cards if they have 15. Those 40 cards and 36 sticks of gum sure are expensive.

Me too for 87 Donruss. I loved those jet black borders. Ebay sales are all over the place. $90-150 for uncertified copies, and $200 for BBCE non-FASC, and $250 for BBCE FASC. I would think that Donruss and Fleer would stay ahead of Topps price wise, since I assume that there is more 87 Topps unopened out there than Fleer and Donruss.

Agreed. BBCE has a vending case for sale for $439, or the equivalent price of 4 wax boxes.

Did Greenwell have a regular Fleer card that year? I remember getting them out of Topps and Donruss (and also the Donruss variation with that Red Line), but I never opened much Fleer (it was harder to find).

Out of curiosity on 1987 Fleer (regular issue, not glossy and not the update set), I searched recently highest sold PSA 10's on eBay. Looks like it's neck and neck between Barry Bonds and Nolan Ryan

I probably have a handful of Nolan Ryan's sitting in a box somewhere...
