I routinely chuck things like this into the change can, but this one flashed like a mirror and after this big blow up photo….it looks uhhhhh too good to be just a dime. But….its just a dime. Is this FB? FT?

42,876 here. Those giant images do this coin no favors establishing it as the eye candy you seem to think it is. It's obvious to me that it's not even uncirculated.

Mistakes are natural. But repeated mistakes without reflection are something else. That may be the “stupidity” he was referring to. In research, he admitted uncertainty openly. “If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?” This shows humility. Even a Nobel laureate accepted doubt. That humility makes the quote less cynical and more observational.
Now that’s just foolish and I’ve been looking at coins for 65 years and I can tell you that dime is Far Far better that you think. Tell you what, you PM me your mailing address and I’ll mail you that coin and if you’re Brave enough you’ll accept the offer and You tell Us what’s up with it. Personally, I think it’s MSFBPL. There are only 2 so certified.(and to play a numbers game that’s out of all Roosevelt dimes that PCGS has graded, not that specific date.). I suspect this dime was a fresh strike with a New die
