Misunderstanding between PM & emails ( MY FAULT )

I have been burned by personal/business checks in the BST and told buyers I would have to wait 2 weeks after cashing before shipping. I am not sure what was said to you.

I was being sarcastic. And the messaging system is just fine.

I am confident in declaring the issue is that the buyer of your coins has a long standing habit of starting threads for no particular purpose other than he is unwilling or unable to seek answers to questions himself. Normally, the only victims are a moment of the thread reader's time and the rules of grammar. This time you are an unfortunate target.

I hope you can get ahold of @mach19 and get this squared away.

BTW it has not been over 2 weeks as of Sept 2 when this posting started. I deposited the check upon receiot on Aug 21. It has 13 days since then and 8 business days. Durring this time I tried contacting him
to verify his address and have received no responses.

now that communication has been re-established, I strongly suggest just do the "here's my address" "igot your address" "ok, waiting on tracking" "here's the number" "i got the tracking number" thing

I think @mach19 owes @Gerard a public apology. @mach19 started a thread stating that a BST seller wasn't responding to messages and (essentially) accused him of theft. In the most unsurprising turn of events, @mach19 is the source of the issues because he hadn't bothered to send the seller his address despite multiple requests.

If I was @Gerard I would be livid.

Here's the answer...check your DMs before airing something out publicly.

PMs I never provided my email address. When asked which email address he used there was no response.

As per the original BST thread, mach19's payment was reportedly sent on August 12, and the check was then deposited on August 19 or August 21 (depending on whom you ask). Likely, the communications in question would have been sent right around this time period. However, on August 17, mach19 received a package from the Mint with the new tape and reportedly, he really liked it.

So perhaps the lesson here is not to conduct any transactions while simultaneously being distracted by tape. That's a lesson we can all relate to...

When someone sends a message, there is an email notification. He must have replied to that email notification. The issue is that does not go to anyone. So messages should be replied to here on this website.

Mach19 must have responded to the notification email thinking I would see it.
Mach19 you can clear this up by check your sent emails.

@mach19 has been on this forum several times (at least) over the last few hours and has still not publicly apologized to @Gerard nor has he edited the title of the thread. Isn't that the very least that he should do, even if his slander was unintentional (which I don't believe)?

@IkesT I think the real lesson is that when @mach19 complains that we "know what he meant" when I call him out for his next grammatical snafu, this is exhibit one that No, we don't know what you meant, and your continued unwillingness to communicate clearly has harmed another member here.

I wasn't going to read this thread as I dont go on the bst much, but thought - maybe it will be a great inform / educational thread w a lesson i can use for when I do want to go on the bst

yes - yes it was v informative and educational w a v strong lesson in doing my due diligence so I can maintain good relationships w people I do business with in this community if I should ever go on the bst to buy or sell

have all the automated forum email come from "collectors-noreply@vanillaforums.com" and have any replies return a "bounced - email box doesn't accept email and is not monitored"

while the mods have their antennae up, it might be a good time for the suggested change

Agreed. Coin collectors tend to be older and likely less tech savvy than the general population. It would be a welcome change.
