The Sacagawea dollars circulate in Ecuador and the US Dollars is used as their currency. They particularly like the Sacagawea dollars because it looks like a native Indian woman and her child.
Greetings from Ecuador! The reality of Sacagawea dollars in daily circulation.
I’ve been reading this thread and I’m honestly surprised by the real interest you all have in these well-worn $1 coins.
Here in my country, believe it or not, these coins sometimes come into my hands completely brand new, as if they were just taken out of their original mint packaging. At the same time, there are many coins that are heavily worn out from daily use, since here in Ecuador we use them constantly to buy a pound of potatoes or a pound of rice. To be honest, almost nobody here cares about those heavily worn pieces; people just see them as 'ugly coins.' I'm truly surprised by the interest in them!
From now on, I will definitely start separating both: those pristine, brand-new specimens that are easy to get at the banks, and also the ones that are deeply worn out.

Thanks for reaching out. If you do find many heavily worn, please let me know, and I won't hesitate to send you a generous sum for them.
