I've been there. Long time Eagles fan as you know, and they certainly had a number of dry spells over the years.
Fortunately they've got a pretty good owner who is basically hands-off with the overall football decisions, trusting his front office to make the right moves.
I've said this before, if Jerry Jones would have kept Jimmy Johnson, who of course was the brains behind quickly rebuilding the team into a powerhouse after the great Tom Landry was let go, only because age diminished his hall of fame coaching skills, who knows how many more Super Bowls the Cowboys would have won? I don't think at least five more is out of the question.
But Jerry with his gigantic ego, just couldn't give anyone else the credit, to the point of his team disintegrating into the mess it became. That being said, the Cowboys line to win this upcoming Super Bowl is "only" 20-1. That isn't a prohibitive long shot by any means in this season which appears to be wide open.
