Random Question re Dealers and Shipping Inventory
This is a "curiosity" question. As the ANA show is pending, how do dealers or auction houses move their inventory to a show? Is this typically a private service (Brinks, Loomis, etc) or is the standard Fedex method.
Next question: At what point does it make sense to use a private carrier to ship a pile coins to a grading house.. $100K, $200K, etc? Knowing the limit at USPS is $50K, it can get rather expensive quickly. It might be easier to just submit at a show directly ![]()

Some dealers carry their inventory with them, either driving or flying.
Different dealers use different methods to get their inventory to shows. Among them are taking the coins with them in a car or on a plane, shipping to the show by overnight carrier and using a private company.
Depending upon the auction house and the specifics of your consignment, you might be able to ship and be covered by their insurance policy or they might have a representative pick up the collection.
