I have been searching for these 2, for a eye appealing and affordable example. Found the Lafayette Commemorative Dollar two weeks ago and the American Sesquicentennial Commemorative $2.50 Gold just got in the mail today! These are part of my type set (I include commemoratives). The only ones I now need are 1982-D Washington Commemorative Half Dollar and 2001-D Buffalo Dollar Commemorative. I have the following. I include an early and modern of each type. I might have to ship this weeks coin show!

Nice pick-ups. Never easy finding the one for your specific want/needs. I have always liked the 1926 2.50 gold. Great design. Would have been even better in a 1-ounce offering.
