August GS out and showing downward corrections on Dollars (Morgan and Peace) and Commems (major areas for me). CDN Bid showing in the red on many issues.

Market weakness? Perhaps buying opportunity.

Any nice pickups? Have had one so far and have a few onwantlist to bid on over the next few days hoping to win some more. Gold Classic coins took some hits too. Between VF and MS64. Wb looking for any in auction get some at or close to bid. Saints showing red triangle all to MS66. Where do you think gold is going?

I’m not feeling that trend at all with respect to the dollars that I collect, quite the opposite actually. Which dollars are they referencing - SBA’s and gold dollars?

I'm assuming the base price is adjusting to lower silver and gold prices.

I agree and once this is realized makes the above not so much the busting-out headline it appears to be upon first blush.

Substantial lag time; that might have been true in July.

All we've learned is who isn't the best coin dealer in the country.

I presume he's looking at the August print version which reflects NOTHING other than silver price weakness in July. Circ common date Barber halves and Morgan silver dollars trade very close to or at melt.

If we look at the online Greysheet which reflects current pricing and the recent rally in silver prices, we see green arrows for circ Barber halves type

And green arrows for Morgan dollars type

It took that post for you to learn who isn’t the best coin dealer in the country?😉
By the way, what’s “silver lettuce weakness” ? And is there also gold lettuce weakness (or strength) ?

Wait wait wait. @Cougar1978 ISN'T the best coin dealer in the country? This is shocking and disappointing news. Is he at least the best dealer in Southern California?

The magazine, online or paper, is still the print version. It's just a pdf versus paper. I posted the app numbers above, if you care to look. They are all green. You are looking at nothing but adjustments in the price of silver to coins that have very little numismatic premium.
