2026-P Lincoln Cent possible die chip

I know it's not a very big deal, but any thoughts on the Reverse of the cent. It on the P of Pluribus. There is a small line can't tell if it is raised or not. Also the edge is thicker than normal cents but weighs 2.79g. Still interesting

    Probably best not to focus on things that you can't really see. If you're looking for anomalies, look for something larger.

    I have 7 2026 Pennies right now, I’ll weigh them and see what they come to. My guess is just that the mint is making their own planchets for the first time in many years and is still fine tuning.

    If it’s raised, it looks like it could possibly be a copper plating bubble,
    although very small.

    I'm curious to see if anyone else is having other issues with their uncirculated 2026 cents from Philly. Mine have been consistently AWFUL. Like embarrassingly bad. I don't know how the Mint shipped them. One in particular is covered in spots and scratches...never seen anything like it from an uncirculated coin set.

    One of my two sets had to be returned. The P cent had a few small spots and a huge area of tarnish.

    My guess is that the contractor is not interested in supplying half a million planchets a year when they have been doing scale production of 4 billion a year. I would attribute the slightly late releases to the mint reinventing the wheel. Also, just weighed one of mine and it came in 2.54g.
