How to check on suspected fraudulent activity on this site

This came to me in my messages for a post I put up wanting to buy gold pre33. Thus person has no activity. Maybe I am being paranoid. Any help?

It's a common scam we've seen on the forum.
These boards have seen multiple people scammed over the years when they post something on the BST. Proceed with caution as you would anything else. The message you received certainly has scam written all over it. PCGS may or may not take any action against the "member" who sent you the message, but I would reach out to a moderator to let them know.

On another forum (not coin related) you have to have 100 posts along with a couple of months of activity before being authorized to also post on the BST forum.

I do not disagree, but that would not have stopped what the OP raised, which was a message received via PM.

Perhaps PMs should also be restricted.
It's also not that hard to meet those criterion, especially with bots. You could create multiple accounts, post 100 times under each and just wait out the couple months.
All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.
To prevent fraud, no new member should be allowed to post until they have at least 100 posts.
