    WELCOME TO THIS WEEKENDS JAPANESE SUMMER FESTIVAL IN ALASKA

    Natsu Matsuri (Japanese Summer Festival) in Anchorage Alaska Includes Ikebana (Flower Arrangement)

    Although the number of Japanese Nationals living in Alaska is limited to 800, with half of those in Anchorage, Japanese influence in the state is expansive as reflected by the Japanese Summer Festival in Anchorage attended by over a thousand.

    In this below linked video one of many festival activities is featured, The Japanese art of kebana (Flower Arrangement).

    Watch as instruction is given to festival visitors in the art of making one’s own personal flower arrangement.
