US NAVY BLUE ANGELS HERE IN ALASKA SOAR HIGH IN THE SKY OVER SCENIC WATERS AND MOUNTAINS
DRAMATIC LANDSCAPE PANORAMIC VIEWING-
It has been a decade since the US Navy Blue Angels have flown in the Alaska Skies as their last scheduled appearance to appear at the every two years Arctic Thunder Air Show in Anchorage was cancelled due to COVID.
In this below linked video watch in panoramic landscape mode the six daring Blue Angels pilots keep their top speed fighter jets in a dramatic formation with wings close to touching,
First they soar past scenic Mount Susitna and then past a cloud covered Mount McKinley before passing the Port of Anchorage on to Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson.
The video was filmed yesterday from my office balcony overlooking Anchorage's Cook Inlet as the Blue Angels rehearsed for this weekend's air show.

US NAVY BLUE ANGELS PUT ON ANOTHER "PRIVATE AIR SHOW" TODAY (FRIDAY) AS THEY PRACTICED FOR THE PUBLIC ONE
In this below linked video playlist watch a combination of video shorts with added music and panoramic landscape videos all featuring the second, and final, day of practice for Anchorage Alaska's Arctic Thunder Air Show to be held at Anchorage's Joint Base Elmendorf-Rihardson.
The show, held once each two years, alternates between having the Air Force's Thunderbirds and the Navy's Blue Angels perform. This year it is the Blue Angels and in this video playlist they put on another "private air show" as they practice for the public one.
Videos in the playlist include a variety of impressive maneuvers that will be replicated at the Arctic Thunder Air Show.

When Wisconsin conducted a design contest for their state quarter, I submitted an entry in conjunction with an acquaintance from Wisconsin (see below).
It was in the finals when one of the review committee members (Douglas Stener, a high school art teacher) objected to it as being "too professional" looking. Stener also convinced the committee to allow committee members to submit their own designs, long after the deadline for public submissions had passed. Stener then submitted his own design which was an aerial-view drawing of the four wings of the state capitol building. His design, which looked more like a ceiling fan, replaced mine.
A few years later, Stener was caught red-handed stealing valuable currency at a coin show. He was arrested on the spot. his defense was that he was under medication and couldn't tell right from wrong. But he was still allowed to teach art while in that condition.
