For Sale: 1884 1C PR66 BN PCGS CAC

With a proof mintage of 3,942 pieces, the 1884 proof Indian cent represents an accessible yet historically important type. This exceptional GEM example displays remarkable visual appeal on both sides - the obverse exhibits a luminous spectrum of electric blue and sun-yellow, whilst the reverse with also deep mirrored fields burst with bold rosy and reddish hues that transition into vibrant magenta and violet. The eye appeal here is extraordinary for a PR66 BN, offering a dazzling combination of mirrored surfaces and vivid iridescent toning that elevates the coin well beyond the typical appearance for the designation. We would grade this PR66 BN CAMEO. An inferior PCGS PR66 BN non-CAC sold for $1,920 04/24 HA.

Merely curious: how come you never include your asking price in these BST listings? Is it to direct people to your website via the link? Nothin' wrong with that, if that's the case. I was just wondering, is all.

PS- lovely coin, BTW. As usual.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

Good question! Honestly it was never a thought, but we certainly can have a team member include the Buy it price going forward.
