Post a coin you bought because you like the design
Post a coin you bought because you like the design. While it can certainly be the series you predominantly collect, in this case I'm thinking more about a design that you bought as a one off.

Bit out of focus as I wanted to show the color change on this holographic coin

Many or most of my coins bought because of design. My favorite that does not get old
It's usually just one side of a coin that I find attractive. These are some of my favorites. It wasn't until I selected this trio that I realized they were all from the 1910's.

100% Positive BST transactions
Technically a medal, not a coin. But I liked it just the same.

Gold, silver and platinum.

Casual collector slowly building a collection....
I liked the depiction of the Solar Eclipse.
On the U.S. side, I'd have to go with the 1996-W dime.

My single favorite US coin in hand that looks even better than the photo, I have the set of 13 but this is my favorite for the toning being so uniform and looking like a gold coin

I have a lot of 12 Caesars in silver and gold but this is among my favorites

And I always try to buy the 50% Silver Kiwi One Florins - just really like the Kiwi design when I can find them under or near melt.........

I don’t collect walkers, nor 20th century coins in general, but I love the design, the overall look and this coin is outstanding for type. I’m currently considering a1936 type 1 proof buffalo for similar reasons.

Mercedes-Benz Anniversary.
I've always loved this Conder token design. I'm signed up for the Druid's Cache email list. I received a list one weekend, saw this token, and bought it immediately. The proprietor said it was the fastest purchase after a email deployment he's ever seen.

That is by far my favorite commemorative design. Some of the artistry on classic commemoratives makes me wonder what happened to the field to result in the dull, uninspiring designs that have plagued many modern commemoratives.

@SkyMan totally agreed…. Not a commem guy in general, but this issue and the Connecticut are beautiful, along with any of the Pan Pac issues (love the $2.5!)
Modern commemoratives are all horrid, IMO.
