Liberty Gold Coins are Not Available -- What Are they Planning?

DotStoreDotStore Posts: 974 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Liberty Gold Coins changed to Not Available this morning.

ATS prior to the morning update was
1 oz - 825
1/2 oz - 702

Are they re-thinking prices? Or is this just a temporary stoppage, to resume at a later date?

In the other thread it's being discussed that packaging is a problem the Mint is working on rectifying before shipping any more of them. Not sure why they wouldn't just take back orders at this point though.

Back orders usually have a known shipping date.

While true, it hasn't been happening this year on the stated back order date. I have had several products ship earlier than originally stated that they would ship, and often, those promised back order dates would vanish from view when I went to look.
Now this particular "coin" has a much different reason for being CU....packaging. At least that's what the other thread on the subject would lead you to believe. It does make sense, based on the complaints about the Bells sliding around in the case.
