No, the Scorpions did not steal any songs from Lynyrd Skynyrd. This rumor stems from a similarity between the intro and chord progression of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 1973 hit "Simple Man" and the Scorpions' 1979 power ballad "Always Somewhere". While the arpeggiated guitar structures share some common musical DNA, they are entirely different songs with completely different melodies and lyrics. In the music industry, sharing basic chord structures and arpeggios is highly common and is generally not considered plagiarism.
