Has anyone ever seen any numbers or letters on any U.S. coins.

I have many Lincoln pennies that there are some type of letter or numbers on the coins. If the lighting is right. You will be able to see different numbers or letters. When using a microscope to magnify the coins. They will be just in random places on the coin. Above or below Liberty, Lincoln mouth, by the date, on the shoulder and at the bottom of the portrait of Lincoln. That is were I found some of these markings.

That is were I found some of these markings.This is a common phenomenon known as pareidolia. Google this term for more info.
