^ yes, we could use a reprieve. From the heat and the high temperatures/prices.

Yes a seller at my LCS had a few things to sell today.
Not the best timing but he had important things to do with the money.
He also bought them years earlier at a cheaper price point so didn't lose even with today's dip.
I picked up a The 2022 Cook Islands "Raven Witch: Eye of Magic" 2 oz silver coin features an ultra-high relief design and selective coloring. It has a strict worldwide mintage of only 999 pieces.

I'd be buying but business froze up on my other thing right before my slow season. The price is very attractive.

No, I mean like gutter metal is severely overvalued and nobody in their sane mind would touch it at these levels. I guess a case could be made that someone under the influence could get suckered in. I mean someone not too long ago was buying from me at $108. lol. RGDS!

Meanwhile, on the planet the rest of us live on ...

    https://aheadoftheherd.com/the-amount-of-silver-used-by-industry-is-climbing-sharply-richard-mills/#:~:text=The%20amount%20of%20silver%20used%20by%20industry%20is%20climbing%20sharply%20%E2%80%93%20Richard%20Mills,-Home&text=According%20to%20GR%20Reserve%2C%20%E2%80%9CIndustrial,59%25%20of%20total%20global%20demand.

    Conclusion

There is a significant ongoing structural shortage of physical silver in 2026, marking six consecutive years of deficits where industrial and investment demand outweighs supply. While exchange-traded paper silver exists, physical silver is increasingly scarce, with major inventories in London, New York, and Shanghai experiencing rapid depletion.

Analysts estimate the cumulative supply deficit since 2021 at roughly 820 million ounces — nearly a full year of global mine production, gone.

    COPPER is gutter !

I'm back to buying again but my wife just doesn't understand how being underwater on some at 85 is not a bad thing when you loaded the boat at 20 and 30. So I just gotta hide my purchases better.

Regardless of demoralization of this price action, I think anyone who wants to be in this market should be playing it some way. It would be very disingenuous to say we are worse off right now than a year ago.

Sure, the blind buying from normies has subsided and you're competing with costco at bullion weight, but there is money to be made. I'm still killing it on toners I bought at 20 and 30 and I haven't changed any of their prices since the drop. Graded modern bullion that nobody else grades is doing well - collectors will always want the best of the best.

Designer jewelry markets are still hot and profit margins are inordinately large.

Oh believe me, blitzdude. I do keep buying. And I keep selling. And , and , and ….. Business is “boomin” , as you often say.
How much was an Oz of gold 1 year ago ? And how much was an Oz of silver a year ago ? Slide down and pick the bottom. Those are the dips speculators wait for.

    To add to the stack.

Is there a price at which you would be concerned that there are no more buyers?

Legit question. Eventually price destroys all demand. We see it happen with other assets and we have seen it with PMs in the past.

Price is usually an entry or exit point for somebody. The only thing changing is the lack of, or excessive premium to spot. We see it happen all the time. Remember when oil was minus $37 per barrel ? Who wanted it ?
Remember when refineries weren’t buying sterling ? Who wanted it ?
In both instances, there may be fewer buyers yet, that is just another type of “squeeze”. The market just does what it does. My concern is for those who tend to wait until metal spikes before “buying” near a top. My concern is for the “FOMO” crowd. Yet, they’re the ones who drive sales as much as long term guys who dollar cost in or out.

Prices are out of whack, anyway.
