I wanted to check on something today at 5:45 am and was put in the waiting room with a 9 minute wait. Made me laugh 🤣

Yeah, just saw that. Is that the 7:30 waiting room?
Thank you @WALLE I was just thinking of starting a thread exactly like this. Seems like everytime, no matter what time, the Waiting Room shows up. Is this really necessary? Are you human? Is this system really stopping Bots or just stopping people?
Considering the website, the delayed releases, and the back orders, the banner on the mint’s home page should read
*
“Make 2026 a Year For Waiting”
I have a 50 minute wait now to check the shipping status of my order. This is probably the 7:30 waiting room which seems unnecessary on a Monday morning, as no cancellations or returns would have happened Sunday when the Mint and its processing facilities are closed.
It's now 7:24 and I'm at 1 hour wait. hahahahahah
My hope is today is the day the US Mint has a waiting room past the release time to see who is running bots that can bypass it.
Go get em!
Mine says over an hour. Just before 6:30, it said that i would be let in shortly and then jumped to the hour timeframe.
7:30 arrived and after about 3 more minutes of looking at a 43 minute wait, I was let right in at 7:33 and was able to check my shipping status. Guess the bots or whatever didn't find anything and cleared out.
Still have a waiting room.

There’s a waiting room to check the status of an order? That’s sick.
The USM needs some real technology instead of this clown crap.
The waiting room is for the site itself.....all aspects of it. Checking orders, logging in to do nothing, etc. Ever since the Liberty Bells came out, there has been a waiting room the next morning at 7:30 ever since. The quick sellout of the Enhanced Uncirc ASE added to the waiting as people want to grab anything returned to inventory.
10:45am in the waiting room again
While some things in life are worth waiting for, I don't count the US Mint website among them.
If I can't buy it on one of my subs, they can keep it.
There are lots of nice coins sold elsewhere without all the hype of 2026.
At least I can buy a nice 1799 silver dollar over at EBay for $100, new seller from Wuhan, should be fine.
Just make sure to wear a mask when you open the package. 😷
And DO NOT ingest the contents!
Waiting in line ls not the issue, It's waiting in line and not getting anything that hurts.
But that happens in life.
No, it makes you feel all warm and tingly about the Mint when your countdown gets to 1 minute and you still have a chance, and then your timer jumps up to 57 minutes to crush your soul.
Had a waiting room of 2 minutes at 4:15 PM EST.
The bots are probably constantly probing availability and they trigger the waiting room.

I was thinking along those lines, as well. I checked around 8, 8:30, 9 and 9:30 and got waiting rooms each time of varying length. Not sure if that’s just people thinking the Mint will refresh inventory every half hour, or if the bots go for a stroll every 30 minutes.
They must be taking a stroll now, just had the waiting room at 6:45pm
The US Mint's Waiting Room has been such a success, it will now be used to enter EBAY, FACEBOOK, and even the PCGS COLLECTOR'S UNIVERSE.
They probably constantly probe. Those repetitive tasks are exactly what bots are good at.

For me, it’s never been this often or random before. I’ve only run into it on major releases before. Hopefully they get and handle on it.
It's probably the cooks. They were new to this party with the silver bells. I imagine that's what they are looking for, given the margin. But since the waiting room is for the entire site, they are making it hard to do anything on the site.

It all coincided with the release of those damned Silver Bells. Every day since then. The Enhanced Uncirculated ASE didn’t help matters much, either.
It didn't help, but I doubt many of them are even looking for the ASE's. Too small a payoff to tie up your bot.

When I type "usmint" into my Google search bar, first it verifies I am not a bot, then second, because of how I saved this link Google adds some additional directions and rather than sending to the mint's home page, it directly sends me to the cumulative sales page--no waiting room involved. From here I can directly go "shop" and to "commemorative coins" (because this is my interest), again with no waiting room. Maybe if you directly link to a page such as the cumulative sales page, you can get into the mint's site with the waiting room? Or maybe I just hit a time when there was no waiting room...
I've linked to the ATS page directly and I get the waiting room sometimes even for that.

Same here. I get the waiting room for the ATS page. I’m not sure there’s any way around a waiting room if one is in force.
Waiting rooms are somewhere nice, warm, dry and comfortable to sit while you're waiting for the hype train to arrive.

Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice.
There isn't, because it's blocking access to the entire site, not to any specific page within it. Hopefully the Mint will identify a fix for this. Otherwise, the site is going to become increasing unusable for legitimate users.
If the recent issues have been bots scanning for that silver liberty bell all damned day, then NOW is the time for them to work on a fix. It’s frustrating the casual user and turning them off, and simply annoying the rest of us.
Just tried to check to see if any of my backorders shipped... 21 minute waiting room at almost 8pm Pacific??? Ha!!!!

It's more than annoying. If you can't get in, it's not food, water or shelter.
At some point some people will just decide they don't need to deal with it. If that happens, it will be quite the unintended consequence of what they tried to do with very expensive Liberty Bells.
With any luck, maybe this will push them to take my suggestion regarding early order windows for preferred customers, based on past purchase volume. That would destroy rando bot access to hot new releases, and would end this once and for all, since anything like the bells in the future would be long gone before the public order window opened.
I thought you were joking…..after all, it’s only 6 AM EST, but I have an 18 minute wait.
Went from 14 to 26, then back to 1, then 18, now at 23................
Oh this is the best part…..went from 18 to 25, down to 1, back to 25 and now at 25 for 8 minutes.
Back to 38 minutes after a long wait at 25 minutes, so…..,,
I am able to not get stuck in the waiting room by going to the cumulative sales page, but the second I try to go anywhere else, back to the waiting room. I even tried going to the commemorate coins link as you suggested. Curious the one page doesn't trigger it but just about any other does. Anyone have suggestions?

None. There's no other way in. I kept my browser open since this morning and have been stalled for well over an hour.
This waiting room is becoming the usmint version of "BSOD"
I looked over at my open browser and it looks like I got in after a 2 hour + wait.
Same here
I like the plan. I may not qualify as preferred based on amounts spent, but I would assume I would get credit for having a mint account for 35 years. Any credit for length of time?
I just tried again (1;40 PM Eastern time) amd gopt tight in via the cumulative sales page. Who knows why--maybe there is no wait-room in force right now...
Alternatively, the mint may realize that for the past 25 years I have been stupid enough to buy all their commemorative cons, proof sets, and mint sets so they don't want to discourage someone so foolish.
