A set of three half dollar sized copper/nickel medals.
No mintage limit, no product limit, yet a HHL of 1.
ats is currently stocked with 15,000 sets.
Release price of $130.00 per set, basically $43.33 per coin... err uhm I meant... medal.
So how many of you guys are going to battle the bots to obtain one of these sets? How much demand is there for medals such as this?
To me, this looks like a gift you would give to a child to play with. However the price point is prohibitive of doing so. I personally don't see these selling. What does your crystal ball show?

All the comic coins have been disasters since day one and this will be no different. You won’t need to deal with bots.
I hope that this doesn't discourage the Mint from perhaps doing Marvel superheroes next. Those I would likely buy. And I suspect (without evidence other than my own experience) that the Marvel fanbase is much larger than the DC fanbase.
The silence is deafening. Either everyone is so excited that they are speechless... or... this is going to be the Mint's worst release of the year.
"Worst release" is kind of subjective, but, yeah, unlimited mintage base metal releases are not really meant for us here on this forum. They are meant to be mass market items that don't get flipped. Which is what I wish they would do with the base metal uncirculated and proof sets, albeit at far lower pricing. Today's Mint is going in a very different direction.
Which is fine. That said, like EVERYTHING else from the Mint nowadays, they are VERY expensive for what they are. $130 for 3 one-third ounce base metal medals is off the charts nuts.
The only reason there is a market for any of their other over priced releases is perceived low mintages. Even 300K for uncirculated sets, which really is not low at all, because people chase cents unavailable elsewhere. Unfortunately, people scarfing those up at $124.50 has apparently led them to believe they will be able get $130 for this.
No one, and I do mean no one, will be chasing unlimited mintage base metal superhero medals when they had no interest in limited mintage precious metal ones. If they are going after kids, $130 is a little steep for this. Knock off the leading "1," and maybe these would find an audience. ATS is only 15K, so even they seem to realize there is going to be very little demand for this.

One can purchase 200 2026 half dollars in a bag from the mint for $180 ...... Why the increase on these ? I just don't see it !
ats is currently 10,235. Assuming they did not increase the initial 15,000, they have sold almost 5,000 of these in three weeks. More demand than I was expecting at this price.
I think it has sumpin to do with kryptonite with superman ..... LOL
