That's a great set but I had to chuckle at the holder. I like those snap cases and they're safe for coin storage, but that set was screaming for a Capitol Plastics holder. 😀

The nickel is a stunner when it is tilted to where the colorful toning shines.
Makes me want to retrieve my run of proof sets 1936-1969 from the safety deposit box! Mine are in a Dansco album.

My story about the 1937 set began when I attended a local show in early June. A dealer had multiple raw proof sets in his case. I bought a 1942 set containing a gorgeous frosted half; and agreed to purchase the 1937 set.
I picked up the 1937 set last Saturday and while doing so I also looked at the 1939 and 1941 sets the dealer has. I already have sets for those years, but the nickel in the dealer's 1939 set is a gorgeous toner and the other coins in the 1939 and 1941 sets are upgrade candidates to coins in my current sets.
I am going to meet the dealer this weekend at another show to take a close look at his 1939 and 1941 sets. I most likely will pick up those two sets.

Check the reverse of the nickel in the '39 set. A reverse of '40 is a bit more valuable and could justify a slightly higher ask price.
