The waiting room is a joke. It seems like its just luck of the draw or tech savvy people know a way around it. I logged in at 7:20 this morning and was immediately dumped into the waiting room for about 40 minutes. I'm not expecting to get in on every drop but i cant get anything anymore.
what will eventually happen is the "end" collector will get frustrated and will not be a buyer at higher levels......the middle men will pull their buy offers and the folks with the bots will be sitting on product - ready for return.
the USM HAS to fix this if they plan on haveing any viable numismatic coin business in the future.
5 hour window on release day to place your "order" for one item per HH/per account. Checkout the item.
After the five hour window closes the USM "vets" the orders to determine any HHL violations, one item per CC (no virtual card numbers), cross ref cc address with shipping address, or whatever other cross checks filter out any bad orders. Pick the winners randomly.
Notify by email the "winners" which will have their order fulfilled (similar to email that go out about confirmed orders today)
Others not fulfilled just have thier CC authorizations drop off thier accounts.

While you bring up some very good points and frustrations, the Mint in 2027 will most likely just be happy to sell whatever they have to whoever wants it, regardless of what we say.

If they really want to get a handle on this and don't want to invest in whatever technology is available to effectively frustrate the bots, the move is to either make every single thing available for early purchase via subscription. That will frustrate the buyers clubs that don't know a nickel from a dime. Sorry, but I have sympathy for anyone shut out now when these were available for months by subscription. They are no better than the buyers clubs, just waking up now because there is a flip.
If they want to take it one step further, they can do what other world mints do, and open staggered order windows, where your level of access is determined by your past purchase volume. Basically a retail version of the bulk buyer program. It has the virtue of rewarding the best customers while also locking out randos who only come in for the flips.
Or, they can continue doing what they are doing, and keep turning off actual long time collectors. Hopefully people will give Hollis an earful at the upcoming ANA show. He seems very tuned into the retail market, as evidenced by all the things, good and not so good, he has done since taking over, so I bet he will be receptive to feedback on this.

I'm sure quite a few. 220 was the order count. With no limits, I'm sure a lot more than that was sold. Plus, that doesn't even account for all of the orders. Again, given that everyone was able to get at least 10 ahead of time, no sympathy for those who only woke up at the end and then got shut out.
Arrived this morning. Looks like a 70 under several loops. Has two tiny black spots on obverse field that turned out to be turds on the inside surface of the plastic capsule. The positions move with careful rotation of encapsulated coin. Phew !
Compared to a 70 commercial strike 2026 ASE, this one has significant features to warrant an above average difference.
I have compared the 2013 EU ASE pics to this, and I have a love/hate impression with the former. At a distance it appears attractive with the striped skirt. Up closer it becomes a bit cheesy for my tastes. I like the flag detail though.

ensure the lottery box doesnt get stuffed. no creation of accounts on the fly at the last minute. etc etc etc.

From yesterday's mail. . .Not as attractive as the 2013-W Enhanced Uncirculated issued in the Two Coin West Point Set.

That's really what the EUc is supposed to look like, if you recall the original EU sets. The 2013 is the one that doesn't look EU.
