Hey everyone. Got this at a yard sale of all places.

Is this large letters? Guidebook says the medium has filled A's and doubling on the last A which I don't see, so I assume it is LL.

What would you pay for this, and what would you expect it to sell for on ebay?

Anything special to know about this coin?

The full Liberty is nice, and also her facial features and eye.

    VG details, probably cleaned to remove corrosion. Very rough surfaces. In my mind a $10 coin at best.

    I would pay $15 and expect it to sell on ebay for around $30.

    Yikes. Original owner paid 40 in what I'd guess was the late 90s or early 2000s. Should have bought silver.

    Looks like N-6 to me. It's a Large Letters reverse.

    I agree... It's the Large Letters Reverse. I'm seeing VG10-F12 Details, corrosion/environmental damage, cleaned, recolored... I've bought lower end Middle Dates in the past but don't spend much more than about $25-30 on them and they'd have a reasonable shot at a straight-grade... here's the piece from my album. It's the one I kept. I spent $33 on ebay a couple of years ago on this one. It has decent surfaces but still a couple of patches that might prevent a straight-grade and the hit on the date would likely prevent a straight grade too. I bought it because all of the major die cracks are present for the variety (N-7):

    I spent closer to $200 on this one (XF-AU details) that did not straight grade with our hosts... there's a rough patch on the obverse. I subsequently ended up selling on ebay for ~$200... so, I was out grading fees but learned a valuable $40 lesson in recognizing patches of corrosion on Middle Date copper! lol!!
