idk who the 🤡 GM of the Mets is, but i hearby nominate grote to be the next one
i bet they'd be 15 over with him at the helm and all you'd have to do is pay him in unopened currency

Grote might offer fans an unopened pack day. A free unopened pack of baseball cards with each paid admission. Maybe put a few more fans in the seats. 😂
Mets are 15 games out and dead last in the NL East.
Perhaps they'll be like Golden Tempo, and come from way back to win it at the wire? 😂
It’s David Stearns. He left the Brewers for the Mets job - his childhood team. Same year Counsell did the same. Hard to instill a culture in those places that is conducive to teamwork I’m sure. Cutthroat is more so the environment.
The Mets want to be something they will never be. That would be the Yankees.
Now that the All-Star Game is over the next big date on the MLB schedule is a bit less than 3 weeks away, August 3rd at 6pm. As the Trade Deadline approaches it’ll be interesting to see who is a buyer and who is a seller.
It should be a test of the payrolls of a few teams.Since I follow the Indians it’s pretty easy to predict that they’ll be looking for a few bats to rent. Pitching is fine and a few injured players will be coming back soon, but the Tribe is short of n power.

To induce additional revenue and attendance, the Mets have announced that they will make their stadium available all year round for parties, weddings, and bar mitzvas. Yes, that includes on the field during a game.
They only ask when a ball is in play, to please try and get out of the way, so as to not interfere too much with the game. Also to please not ask for a player autograph when he is at bat.
