So cool you're finding new halves already mixed into rolls. And still haven't lost the touch, finding W's ! Now just find a new box of quarters and grab one of the July 4'th quarters.

    I'm trying, thanks.
    ;)
Question: would you know if these were released into the public or not?

    Thanks

Yes. These have been released into the wild. However random, many have appeared just dropped into brand new boxes heavy handed instead of sprinkled lightly throughout. The really cool quarters though are the silver versions that are laser numbered on the edge, those only number 250 and will be auctioned off instead of released into the public.

    Great, thanks 😊
    How bout the NEW HALVES?
Have they too, been released to the public as well?

I dont know if you follow this guy on youtube "robfindstreasure", but he is the GOAT of roll hunting. He bought 2 $500 cases of quarter rolls, all Declaration of Independence and got 11 "July 4th" Privy's in the first case. Pretty awesome, and lucky! (almost makes you wonder who he knows at the mint). Check it out

Yes, I am aware of Rob. Known of him for many years. About knowing someone from the Mint...
I doubt it. He's just more lucky than most collectors.
He puts a lot of "leg work" and "time" in finding any coins that can be profitable!
He frequents many, many banks to make his chances better than most!
    Good for him.
    Thanks

Nice to see you back Joey. I have been searching almost exclusively dimes and halves for the last year or so, but I may need to check out some quarter boxes soon.

I was just thinking about you the other day as I was contemplating picking up some quarters after hearing about Robs finds. So it’s cool to see you back in the game. No fever here yet but I’m beginning to feel an itch…

    Check it out guys...

    Although, an unfortunate scratch.

    Beautiful😍

I hit the quote button so said to myself "self, why not make a quote?" So here goes:

Market value of your find is about $0.40. Price at $0.50, sell at $0.40 or $0.35.

If a picture wasn't going very well I'd put a puppy dog in it, always a mongrel, you know, never one of the full bred puppies. And then I'd put a bandage on its foot... I liked it when I did it, but now I'm sick of it.

Scratched and beat up W quarter brings $8 from LCS dealer? That's a story that is worthy of leading the 5 o'clock news.

The 2020 W Tall Grass that I cherry picked out of a roll of BU pieces (for $10) at my LCS awhile back must be worth at least $50 now if beat up, scratched Ws are bringing $8 to lucky finders.

Well, by golly. According to my brand new 2027 Red Book, a 2020-W Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve (KS), V75 Privy Mark Quarter Dollar is listed at $55 in MS-65, $130 in MS-66 and $405 in MS-67. My piece is at least a 66. :*

Joey's coin is listed in 2027 Red Book at $20 but that's in MS-65. Okay I'll upgrade my quote to $1-$1.25 but not a penny more.

Okay teach but keep in mind the quote I gave was my quote not Joey's LCS quote. Doesn't it please you that I upgraded my quote to $1-$1.25? I think I have 2 Ws left that I found going through boxes from the bank. Maybe I can unload them on ebay. The LCS would only buy two of these from me @ $5 each, as a favor being I was such a good buying customer. They weren't exactly jumping up and down with glee about my circulated W quarters and made it clear that two was all they would buy from me. What essentially happened was I traded the two quarters they bought for $10 for my cherry picked Tallgrass W ($10 to me) out of one of their rolls of BU coins.

I found my circulation find W quarters that the LCS wouldn't buy. I have 3 Ws left, so 5 total were found by me a few years ago out of bank boxes. One 2019 American Memorial Park and two 2020 Tallgrass Prairies found. The 2019 is listed in the Red Book at $110 in MS-65. I would say my 2019-W is close to unc. if not unc. Lots of mint luster but definitely not "gem", however. I priced it at $8 then so am upping my price to $20-$25 for this piece now. The 2020s are very nice with gobs of luster and I would say $20-$25 apiece for these two now is about right. The privy mark on the 2020s adds a little interest to these which show a price, again, of $55 in MS-65 or "gem." A few light contact marks with other coins in the roll limit the grade on my Tallgrasses to maybe choice (MS-63) to select (MS-62) grade.

Thanks to Joey for posting about his W quarter find. His enthusiastic post has resulted in me renewing my interest in these. I'm thinking I got to searching for these in the last days before the Ws to be found in rolls started to show the rigors of heavy circulation. The LCS got the two worst Ws that I found, guaranteed. ;) The $5 trade value that the LCS gave me for a W was, at the time, their buy price for a 90% silver quarter.

Absolutely they threw Joey a bone. I picked up my Tallgrass W for $10 in consideration. They told me in the shop that normally the piece I cherrypicked from the roll would be $12 to me. I have an ongoing policy to spend a minimum of $20 everytime I visit a shop that takes care of me with good customer service. I never failed this shop in that regard since their customer service was top notch. I say "was" because they closed their doors forever last December. Owner retired.

I hope Joey finds another W quarter, only this time without a scratch you can drive an ATV through. Should be able to get more than $8 for the next one. >:)

The LCS overpaid Joey for sure!

    Shhhhhhhh....there, there.

Says the dude who is too scared to make an sig line here and is not as funny as he thinks he is.

I agree, Ike could not best either the irony or the mediocrity of your sig file.

You don't have a sig line either. What's up with that? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq-be7Y_yyY

If a picture wasn't going very well I'd put a puppy dog in it, always a mongrel, you know, never one of the full bred puppies. And then I'd put a bandage on its foot... I liked it when I did it, but now I'm sick of it.

Those prices are high on the low end and low on the MS67.

You got a good deal on the BU Tallgrass for $10...should be $15 - $20 range.

The LCS overpaid Joey for sure!

    "Overpaid"
    Yeah, I know. He's a great guy!
I've been going to his shop forever!
    Over 25 years.

    He threw you a bone.

I guess it’s time for me to come up with a sig line. Is that like a Siegfried Line or what?

I like not having a sig line as my truist thoughts molded together might have me banned.
