I’m no expert, but to me it’s fake.

Maybe @threefifty or @TwoKopeiki can help?

Yes, I agree with all, a very fake modern copy, unfortunately not worth anything except some small value as a novelty.

In spite of it being modern I do sort of enjoy that the forger is part of a long line of forgers, stretching back hundreds of years, who have cobbled together their own coin design. They made their own Go superscript mintmark with incorrect fonts, and added a random "G" aferwards, combined with late Zacatecas assayers and bust but an early 1814 date. I always wonder why they didn't just copy an existing coin like most people?

Ok, thank you for your help. It is probably not even silver.

There is a story to this coin/ piece of junk:
It played in 1975 to 1992, and ended recently when I bought the collection. but it is not done yet.
as mentioned, it was part of a large German coin collection I recently purchased. The German Collector named Heinz, had a long-time subscription to all German extra issues of DM 10 and DM 5 special Gov mint issues, sold by MDM, at that time one of the largest coin mail order firms in Germany. It was an official and legal ripp-off of believers.
Once you committed to a subscription you were always sent the newest issue. You paid very big prices for that. Coins were great and always shipped in proof and many Cameo. these were a min of .625 silver, some were ,925. Heinz also collected German (DDR Soviet occupied) issues by subscription as a second collection. H also collected a complete special issue of The Royal wedding (1-2 of each commomwealth country) in 1992 and the Soccer world games in Spain in 1991 (at least one of each country) . Sometimes he received a very special offers for preferred clients of other coins, like the** 8 reales.**. He paid 142 German marks for it in 1982 with a lifetime guarantee to the original owner of authenticity..
when Heinz and Family emigrated to Canada he brought the collections with him.
His son sold all 30 Albums + to me recently.
The whole collection encompasses approx 500 5 DM and 10 DM coins plus about 55 other large size .925 silver medals, all proof and cameo, limited editions (by the mints) in 30 special Leuctturm albums.
Will write the whole story in the Q&A forum section after I have moved to a new place.
I learned a lot about German issues with this deal and it is an interesting story.
It may possibly address some members here in similar situations either by Collection, purchase or inheritance.
