Now down about $4,200 from high on trio, 2 Carr & 1 US Mint.
Gold hit $5,600 an ounce, but value just wasn't quite enough for me to part ways, but I did think about it.
These 3 were on the top of gold to let go list.

Most of my Moonlight Mint Archive are Fantasies. However, early on I got the ANACS 2012 USA text obverse side up & had to add a 2nd one to display the exact opposite direction with same Chinese text on reverse. Even the globe is opposite. Brilliant !

Everything I acquire is a keeper. Keeping Gold I like at $5,600 was a challenge. Keeping Silver I like at $ 116 was also a challenge that passed by too.

But the lofty 2026 record prices did give me a chance to dig stuff up I had not looked at in years, or decades.

I'll be better prepared to cash out of things if new highs are reached & then breached.

1) The "private issue" certainly cannot possibly be listed in any of the PCGS- approved acceptable sources: https://www.pcgs.com/tokensandmedals

2) The cert number, 56098445 is "not found" in the PCGS cert. verification look-up!

3) The coin number, 978143 does come up in the PCGS pop report. 355 First Strike, 644 FDOI ...total 999

2009 ASE $ are inspired by Moonlight Mint. I think Carr was first manufacturer of 2009 ASE Proof fantasies.

I find it enlightening that Osborne Mint issues qualify for PCGS GOLD SHIELD

Maybe PCGS will slab anything, like ANACS ?

What does "first day of issue" mean when it comes to private mint silver rounds ?

They sold 67 of these, 8 more to go.

Seeing this, I am excited to think I can get anything Moonlight Mint Made into PCGS GOLD SHIELD slab.

FWIW, that issue is bullion - "1oz Rnd".

I have no idea if PCGS treats bullion rounds differently than tokens/medals, which is presumably the category for DCarr's items, but that might explain it.

He says a lot of things, all the time, that are demonstrably untrue. I seriously doubt PCGS and NGC will slab them, but the only way to know for sure is to call them. Not to quote him.

I sourced my latest PCGS GOLD SHIELD Carr Goodie from Great Collections last month. Crazy fast delivery.

Still waiting for another Not Carr Heritage win.
Hopefully it lands before vacation or maybe I see it in the Fall ?

Daniel Carr pedigree has been deleted from holder.

"Nonexistent 1776~2026 ASE $ uncirculated" according to HSN Coin salesman Mike Mezak have
Combined Mintages now 31,583. Incredible !

The Minuteman, Betsy Ross Flag, and Constitution privy-marked coins that I have all have that same text on the label reverse that is shown in your post. IOW, not new per se, but certainly unfortunate that the Daniel Carr pedigree is not present on these holders.

I really like Dan Carr products, especially the limited mintage, not necessarily the mass produced ones, but it was a smart strategy and I like how he took a gamble and appears to be paying off.

But I'm afraid the US Mint is winning the budget battle this year so far.

I'll keep waiting for the OG to produce some new ones. Hopefully soon. I'd like to support small business.

Love sourcing direct but sometimes I foolishly pass on or things come & go just like that.

Agree that Dan Carr is a rare talent who creates a lot of really cool things. I too am thrilled that this worked out for him.

Given that he just pushed out 50K +/- overstrikes for Mike, in just a few short months, with more on the way, exactly what is the threshold for a "small business" here?

These Mezak bucks are in 2009 ASE $ Proof GROUP. He said several times on several videos he (MEZAK) was responsible for the RE-PROOFED 2009 ASE $ products, just like he says same concerning these five "dual dated 1776~2026 ASE $ Uncs the USMINT failed to produce even though they were legally obligated to" So I consider all 5 Mezak products as they would not exist without his custom orders.

Figured out WHY I have been having a hard time finding it. I was opening up the right page, my issue is he didn't put anything about 2026 production on the page before. When I go and look for new items, I open the page and search for the year.

Visit what, exactly? If I see a piece on eBay that I don't recognize immediately, I can usually narrow down my catalog search to 3-to-5 of the 20+ categories but it's usually pure guesswork and the themes aren't always obvious or fully distinct from the others.

Mezak's 1776~2026 ASE $ are fantasy even though he & ANACS do not represent as fantasy tokens.

I realized as its stated-on Moonlight Mint site its buyers' responsibility to properly represent our Carr Art when we sell any of it. So now I think of these five 1776~2026 ASE $ as Mezak Issues

I'm familiar with the catalog at http://www.moonlightmint.com/coin_catalog.htm and I had the same confusion as jshaulis because these new pieces aren't on the main overstrike page as they said.

If there's a production blog that lists all of his work in one place reverse-chronologically as they are minted (like most blogs), regardless of (or tagged by) category, I haven't found that.

In the begining my first adventure into exonumia was with Landis & Rust.

Later I added Moonlight Mint

For many years I have acquired smaller dies struck on larger diameter coins.
Experts say such things are impossible yet both Mints and US Mint has proven it is possible.

I was told I was allowed to share these on the forum when I bought them months ago.
At that point I was unable to post new images.
Now with my first Apple & my old 16 iphone its easy peazy as tech compliments each other.

I sourced the 1938 24k 5c direct from Ron & a BIG SHOUT OUT to @ZoidMeister for giving me The Pleasure of adding Jefferson Silver Dollars to my Archive. Gary pursued his vision, his concept of these two overstrikes strikes & sent donors for improvements.
