Correct. If you are not a customer, you opinion is worth what we are paying you for it. Just like the forum seemed to think mine was with VB.

I'm struggling here with a conundrum. I DON'T want to buy the New York Times because I don't think it is worth the money. But since I'm not buying the NYTs, I'm not allowed to have an opinion. That means I can't have the opinion that it is not worth the money. So, Great Oracle, does that mean that I MUST buy the NYTs?
No, you can have any opinion you want. But, if you don't subscribe, yet feel the need to tell them that they don't pay their columnists enough, your opinion really isn't worth much, is it? If I was them I sure wouldn't care what you think.
You can absolutely think anything you want, and say anything you want. If you expect a merchant you don't patronize to care about what you think about how they run their business, however, you are likely to be very disappointed. That's all. Now post away. About the NYT, CW, anything at all.
I think they might want to know what they could do that would make me want to subscribe.
Or not. Might want to know what features you would like to see. Not so much how to pay their staff.
Sorry. Argue with me all you want. I happen to think longtime collectors who, for one reason or another, don't pay for access to the leading numismatic periodical, and who ask its writers for free access to at least some of their work, are not in a position to have anything at all to say about how they should manage their cash flow or pay their staff.
To me, it's the absolute height of hypocrisy, even though, of course, people deserve to be paid for their work. Including the people who publish the content most here so eagerly consume.
Yet those who have what to say about how CW treats its staff have no qualms stealing WSJ content and posting it here, without permission or compensation to the publisher. Hypocrites. Who cares what they think?

Coin World provides them at no cost, so it's not necessary to pay for a subscription in order to have an opinion about them- rejoice!
The "opinion" wasn't about the column. It was about how CW was managing its cash flow. Cash flow the peanut gallery does not contribute to.
Absolutely no one said anything one way or the other about the columns. Other than one person who wanted them posted here, because they did not want to pay for them, but wanted to read them.
A wish you now fulfilled, although, unfortunately, there will be no more columns since the peanut gallery does not believe CW is worth supporting financially. Only worth directing from the cheap seats.

I thought I was blocked?
No, no, no, no, no. NOTHING matters more than YOUR opinion. Please don't lump yourself in with anyone else.
If some of you fellows want to blow up another thread, thereβs
a useless one called ABANDONED that you could use.
I think the thread police position has already been filled. π

Iβm a new deputy.
If youβre going to (pun intended) shoot for the position, I suggest that you be more assertive. So, no βIβm a new deputyβ, but instead, βIβm THE new deputy, get it?!!)

@jmlanzaf A thought came to mind with all of your comments. Your free to speak your mind of course.
I have never seen you start a thread to discuss a purchase of your own.
You hijack peoples threads constantly with negative connotations.
I like you, I think your smart but its true you never put yourself out there with a purchase of your own for your collection.
Your very opinionated.
I would like to make a suggestion if I may, why don't you post some of your collection. This is "collectors universe" after all.
I imagine that its perfect and you underpaid for all of it.
So let's see it!
Lol why not?

Thanks hombre.
Iβm much better looking and way taller. But I like the vehicle.
@NJCoin
I like how you never let facts get in the way of your opinion.
Please stop.

Very happy I am giving you something to like.
It's nice that you are committed to your level of understanding.
Yes. Nothing if not committed.
Thrilled that you "like," and are finding things "nice." Pleasing you, after all, is one of my major life goals.
I don't think i said anything terribly negative on this thread.
I've addressed this before. I mostly collect non-US coinage. I can post it here, but people will just say "wrong forum".
Most of the US i buy is for resale but, again, this would be the "wrong forum "

@jmlanzaf looks like an interesting coin.
Yea your right wrong forum but that's okay its refreshing to see something unusual.

Actually, your comment is rather insulting, implying that my comments either weren't honest or positive or both. I'm surprised you don't recognize that.

Nope no insult intended. Look beyond that.

Really? How else would you interpret "See honest and positive comment. Simple."
"See" suggests that I'm supposed to notice something that I didn't before.
Not that it matters.
Thank you for loving my coin.

Your response is as expected from someone who holds a pen with a fist.
Honestly, it would do you good to buy the NYTs and read it. So yes, I would say that you MUST by the NYTs
It was a joke. You should probably start reading MAD magazine.

Thanks for the positive feedback.
You really think businesses donβt care what non customers think about them??? π
Based on numerous posts (most of which are invisible to me, since I have him on ignore) it sure sounds like thatβs what he thinks. And he must be right. After all, why would a merchant care what non-customers think?
Oh, wait, is it possible that the merchant might want to add new customers? No way, right? π

What was this thread about again? π΅βπ«
The OP might want to change the title to "Train wreck - all aboard!". π
Or,
"Proof again collectors are passionate about what they collect and love to express their variety of opinions"
In which case, YOU must be very concerned about what I think, not only about you, but about Heritage, right?
Which is why you, who has an open association with Heritage, although you clearly post in your personal capacity, have no qualms about getting into it here with a potential new customer. Not only Ignoring a potential new customer, but proudly announcing it. You must be a real customer acquisition whiz. Right? π
No way, right? π
I wonder what your masters at Heritage would think if someone called their attention to your posts here? Non-anonymous, with their name right in your signature?
Loud and proud. "Mark Feld* of Heritage Auctions*Unless otherwise noted, my posts here represent my personal opinions."
As though everything you say and do in public is not a refection on them. π
Not intentionally. It was literally just laying in my desk

I wish I lacked common sense. You seem so happy.
I'm fine. Not sure how much common sense you do or don't have, but you sure seem to like provoking responses from me. And, yes, I am very thrilled to oblige.
Itβs amazing that @NJCoin continues doubling down.
