Chrome plated dollar ?

These pictures are terrible at best..... this coin is silver in color .

Just wondering how this could have got into circulation ?

    I might have done it. I've dumped silver, platinum and gold plated everything into circulation. That's all they are worth. I've got 2 complete sets of gold state quarters that I'm gong to circulate, as soon as I find time to crack then out of the cases.

    The weight is the same as a regular dollar coin

    Plating is microscopically thin, just a few atoms thick. It adds no measurable mass. If it did, we would strip them before throwing them in the Coinstar.
