Sometimes the best trades in baseball are the ones that a team doesn't make

Case in point is Jaren Duran as he is coming to life for the Red Sox!

He should have been traded after 2024 when he had a career year and his value would never be higher.

I don’t think even Dr. Frankenstein could bring him to life.
1 hit last 21 at bats, .202 batting avg. and misplayed a hit to left field tonight that let the Rockies score the winning run. Can’t believe how far he has fallen in the last year or two.

He is now a hot and cold player. Other teams see this and will not pursue him or even want to trade for him. The Red Sox have a lot of good players coming up in the minors that will help next year if they don't give them away to try to improve this year which is not going to happen. I will not renew my MLB package next year until I see what happens over the winter. They did not even try to help last winter even though they promised they would.

Hes always been that way. Even his career year he didint hit lefties well. Should have traded him back then

I bet you wouldn’t trade Jake Bauers for him.

This has to be one of the worst Red Sox team I have ever witnessed. They absolutely suck!

Youre right about that. I would call someone up before trading for him.

    You wouldn't trade him for .367 SLG, 101 OPS+, and .328 rOBA?

oh... wait. that's Tatis Jr. Let me pull Bauers. I don't know what kind of weird voodoo you're messing with but... KEEP IT UP! You're going to put Bauers in the HOF if you keep dissing him.

    Bauers has .508 SLG, 143 OPS+, and .388 rOBA.

If you read what I wrote I wouldnt trade anyone to acquire him. If Im the Red Sox I would take anything.

Bauers has a hot start and Tatis has a slow start, theres still almost a 100 games left and I despise AJ Preller so its hard to even root for them. He loses every trade and the Soto is the worst in history other than maybe the Red Sox selling Babe Ruth

I think you’re taking it a little too seriously. I also think you’re read on Bauers was wrong.

You love Bauers because he is off to a hot start. Hes 30 years old and has been in the league since he was 22. If he happens to keep this up and has a career like a lot of people do and even Duran did then good for him. He has a long track record already and a lot of games left

The fact hes in MLB obviously makes him one of the best players on the planet but Im comparing him to his peers. The reality is he had consistent playing time in 2019, m 2021, and 2024. He just kept getting beat out by someone better and losing his job

If you say so but anyone can look it up and see that you’re not correct. He played 127 in the season before COVID and then he was bounced a bit until he landed on the Brewers who have given him the most consistent playing time of his career. I like that he’s continuing to improve and I appreciate the fact that over almost half a season he’s sitting in top 10 in most offensive categories. Will he keep it up? Probably not. It’s a smart bet to insist a player on a heater won’t continue that forever. But you can stop making things up whenever. You seem obsessed with him. Did he steal your girlfriend?

Those are both true but not very unique. I don’t know what you’re arguing here. You need to understand that I only care about how he helps the Brewers. For whatever reason you’ve used him as a negative example of the Brewers lineup and on both occasions it’s gone the exact opposite direction of your expert prediction. As Boastradumbness the Great used to say. Keep making predictions until they start to come true!
